Technical Expert Embedded Software Validation & Testing Automotive : Team Leader - SV Execution : Validation & Testing
Job Description :
As part of the Technical Service Center (TSC) organization, the Team Leader - SV Execution is responsible for leading the team in the SV execution area ensuring that Delivery and Quality objectives are met.
SV Design Team Leader mainly has in his / her scope defined for the SV design team for ongoing projects and helps the team to meet on-time delivery & Quality expectations.
Main activities / responsibilities :
Understand the scope / priority of work and deploy the team as per the need
Review the L3 plan prepared by the System Delivery Leader. Highlight the risks (if any) with respect to the planning
Review the work products by the team and support them to fix the comments
Ensure the timely delivery of the work products from the team
Understand the real workload in the project and deploy optimum manpower
Deploy proactively and maintain the Risk Management Plan in collaboration with the System Delivery Leader and area Manager(s), communicating to all relevant stakeholders.
Ensure the coverage of all identified critical risks with a proper mitigation plan
Prepare periodical status reports and share with the project stakeholders and Area Manager
Guide the team members on effective execution of test cases
Identify the team's training needs and work with the L&D (Learning and Development) Team to bridge the skill gap
Train the new team members and prepare them to be ready to work in the live projects
Capture the on-job training data of the team and share with the L&D team
Measure the KPI and keep track of the same. Derive action plan in case of non-achievement of a target level
Perform the requirement analysis and raise the Open Points / defects and track them till closure. Follow-up with the requirement engineer for the timely response of the OPL
Work collaboratively with the SDLs, SV Design and SV Set-up teams
Update the Area Manager on the tasks performed by the team
Inform the area manager in case of any blocking point and work together with the Area manager to fix the issue
Quarterly feedback sessions with the team for keeping the team motivated with high energy levels.
Key Skills :
Strong knowledge of various Test Case Execution techniques (Full, Regression, Delta, Exploratory Tests, Monkey tests)
Strong knowledge of various communication protocols - CAN / LIN
Above-average / working knowledge of Diagnostics protocols - UDS / KWP
Strong product knowledge of Cluster / Telematics / BCM / Automotive Lighting / Powertrain
Strong knowledge in V-cycle, Agile and ASPICE processes
Good knowledge in Atlassian Tool Chain (JIRA / Confluence)
Good knowledge in IBM DOORS and TAE / V Test Studio
Good knowledge in MS Office Tools ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint )
Must be process-oriented
Conflict management and resolution among team
Risk Management / Mitigation knowledge
Language / Soft Skills :
Advanced written and spoken English.
Advanced Communication skills
Education & Former Experience :
Electronics, Electronics and Communication / Instrumentation Engineering Degree.
More than 5 years of experience in System Validation in the automotive industry
More than 2 years of experience in Team Management.
