Recruitment lead - Manager

Qualification :

BA / BS degree in business, communications, human resources or related discipline and / or equivalent work

Responsibility :

Business Partnering :

  • As a key partner your teams would deliver lateral talent that will drive business results, and would be responsible for forging collaborative and credible relationships with BU leaders and hiring managers by proactively and strategically identifying, assessing, and ensuring the delivery of lateral talent to fill gaps within the BU(s)
  • Is a Recruitment Evangelist & key advisor to the business.
  • Enables the Business with Market Intel.
  • Assists BU in anticipating future requirements and building a pipeline.
  • Proactive in providing solutions to the client.
  • Suggests & drives alternate hiring methods for complex requirements.
  • Develops deep understanding of the business, market, skills & helps team apply the same to fulfill open requirements.
  • Works in collaboration with the BU & the Staffing (WFM) teams to create & fulfill hiring plans.
  • Manages difficult situations with Hiring Managers.
  • Proactive in providing solutions to the client.
  • Provide support, as appropriate, related to recruiting content for RFPs.
  • Partner with Sourcing Team :

  • Ensure revenue linked Hiring, Leverage CWR Hiring, Build Talent Landscape, Create Warm Pool, Improve Quality of Hire (QoH) through the sourcing partner
  • Develop a network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and hiring team to help identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Leverage the internet, including social and professional networking sites, to identify and source candidates.
  • Candidate Experience :

  • Coaches team on improving candidate experience
  • Brings in / suggests innovative changes basis on industry / external trends for improved candidate experience.
  • Employer Branding :

    Ensures team is providing a positive candidate experience and can effectively represent and market the Cognizant employment brand, the organization's business objectives and career options to potential candidates

    Planning / Organizing :

  • Allocates requirements to the team basis on accounts, industry etc etc
  • Recognizes risks & proposes timely solutions to mitigate the same.
  • Emphasizes on optimal use of hiring channels, compensation grid, total rewards, to minimize hiring costs.
  • Reviews, Approves & Tracks hiring progress, and ensures the BU is updated on the same.
  • Acts as a catalyst to balance BU & Team expectations, ensuring timely fulfillment.
  • Quality of Hiring :

  • Follows a consistent process and best practices for selecting highest quality candidates
  • Effectively represents and markets the Cognizant employment brand, the organization's business objectives and career options to potential candidates.
  • Readily identifies and addresses candidate objections.
  • Knows when to pursue and when to withdraw from prospect.
  • Follows through on all issues to a close.
  • Offer & Onboard :

  • Collaborates with hiring manager to create and deliver a comprehensive, compelling and balanced offer
  • Builds solid and longterm candidate relationships.
  • Delivers highly persuasive communication with high potential candidates using all effective mediums.
  • Demonstrates indepth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensures compliance to Cognizant 's compensation policies for the team.
  • Approves complex offers.
  • Monitors and reviews offer processes for the team.
  • Provides guidance to the business and to recruiters on compensation packages for exception cases.
  • Recruiting Strategy :

  • Responsible for the overall leadership and development of a recruiting team
  • Provide overall direction and management for recruiting strategy, guidelines and procedures concerning best practices.
  • Assure talent needs are filled, timely and with quality talent through the recruitment team.
  • Develop a data-driven approach, utilizing analytics to provide insight and decision support through :
  • Manpower Planning.
  • Forecast Mgmt.
  • Impact / influence business decision.
  • Recruitment Risk Assessment Mitigation.
  • Effective utilization if Alternate source Mix (ASM).
  • Attracting Strategy.
  • Functional Improvement Initiative (BAY / SM / Engage Session).
  • Quality of selection.
  • Critical position / Role based hiring(D+).
  • Compliance & Process Adherence :

  • Ensure team adheres to compliance norms and procedures
  • Nominate team members for training programs on compliance.
  • Notify any deviations on compliances to appropriate nominated authorities immediately and take corrective actions.
  • Cost per Hire Ratio :

  • Follows the BU Hiring Grids
  • Ensures governance on the defined percentile value.
  • Resources, as a priority, via low cost / direct channels / Referrals.
  • Coaches team members to negotiate effectively.
  • Networking :

  • Cultivates personal networks in and outside of the organization and effectively uses relevant contacts to achieve results
  • Leverages internal / external interactions as networking opportunities to strategically expand networks.
  • Proactively seeks new networking opportunities for self and others eg, by actively participating in trade shows, conferences, meetings, committees, multistakeholder groups and / or seminars.
  • Encourages and coaches individuals to avail networking opportunities to make an impact in their role.
  • Creates networking opportunities and Identifies and builds strategic relationships with the business and industry leaders to identify potential areas of mutual, longterm interest and shares the information.
  • Brings in innovative thinking to enhance existing networking practices.
  • Hiring Tools / techniques :

  • Understands the design, its impact on overall downstream systems, and suggest enhancements as per needs
  • Market Intelligence :

  • Understanding and leveraging industry / business in the Cognizant context to make informed decisions
  • Coaches / Mentors on competitive positioning of Cognizant in the industry context.
  • Mentoring :

  • Guides and mentors other recruiters, functioning as a lead train & develop the new joiners in the system
  • Leads / drives team projects at request of Talent acquisition Director.
  • People Management :

  • Maintain Scorecard for recruiting and recruitment business partner
  • Team Learning and Development create a repository of learning for team & build a culture of learning.
  • Practices effective communication and feedback mechanism at individual & team.
