IHS-Markit’s Technology Services team consists of over 500+ IT & Facilities employees supporting over 12,000 users. Support staff are based in global major locations (New York, London, Boulder, Dallas, Amsterdam, Noida (New Delhi) and Singapore) which allows Technology to provide follow-the-sun’ support to our product groups.
IHS-Markit has been and continues to consolidate datacentres and offices globally. We now have a synergy exercise to manage the WAN administer the existing and offer futrther reductions in spend across telecommunications.
The aim of Technology Services is to deliver a globally consistent operational model with consolidated toolsets and compliant processes across forIHS-Markit.
Technology Services is organised on a Global, Regional and Local basis with the appropriate capabilities in each area to meet the business needs and drive the most efficient organisation.
Reporting directly to the Financial Operations and IT Vendor Governance team leader, you will take responsibility for cost synergies relating to all aspects of our Hosting, Networks and Telecoms services.
These are key strategic areas for IHS-Markit and sound judgement and discipline is required to ensure IHS-Markit employs a high quality, cost effective offering and ensure a world class service delivery.
IHS-Markit works with many of the World’s most prestigious suppliers and the candidate must have experience of successfully managing and negotiating with them.
Duties & accountabilities
For the network & telecoms spend areas :
Implement and establish industry leading controls around supplier engagement.
Provide innovative cost efficiency proposals.
Financially & commercially validate purchase orders and invoices.
Financially & commercially validate existing tariffs / billing.
Contribute to the budget process and other financial forecasting exercises.
Liaise with global head of networks to manage targeted budgets for cost synergies
Education and experience
Degree an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Ideally you will have had a technical background and understand of networking and telecommunications.
Strong experience with budget tracking, reporting and internal chargeback methodologies.
Strong experience of data and voice networks and telecoms spend.
Knowledge of contract management.
Prior people management experience is not necessary.
