Competitive Intelligence Manager

We’re currently looking for a Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager to join our team.

In this position, you will be responsible for tracking, monitoring, and analyzing markets, technology trends, and competitors, in order to discover opportunities, threats, and implications for Cohesity and our product portfolio.

Equipped with these valuable insights, you will be asked to develop product collateral to enable the Cohesity field teams and external partners to successfully position our products in competitive environments as well as make recommendations to senior leadership influencing business and product strategy.


  • Own and drive research, track, monitor, and report on the industry, technology, and competitive landscape trends for assigned areas
  • Create and maintain competitor profiles, analysis, reports, presentations
  • Create, maintain and deliver CI collateral to enable customer-facing sales and technical personnel
  • Create side by side videos, white papers, infographics, blogs, and other content for internal and external audiences.
  • Technical analysis of competitive products.
  • Create customer labs to demonstrate competitor product weaknesses
  • Regular sales and SE calls with or without potential customers on the phone / in-person
  • Build and maintain labs for analysis of competitor products.
  • Requirements

  • Ability to work within a globally distributed virtual team and be a self-starter
  • An experienced presenter who is a good storyteller.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Capable of authoring industry and product-related blogs, white papers, and presentations.
  • Ability to empathize with sales and have a sales first mentality when developing competitive materials
  • Deep analytical and strategic thinking abilities, along with the ability to see the big picture from scattered pieces of information.
  • Able to collect and synthesize complex information, making it relevant, understandable, and actionable for key stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of data protection, storage, hyper-convergence, and cloud computing.
  • Proficient time management skills and the ability to multi-task across multiple assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to give and receive constructive feedback, ability to interact and partner with people at all levels and locations
  • 7+ years of experience in IT, preferably related to data protection and / storage
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • This position may require some travel to customer and non-customer sites (conferences / events) across the world.
