About the role
The Lead - Applications Engineer is r esponsible for cross functional integration across the Orica IT application landscapes working with Solution Architects to design and deliver quality solutions and maintain integrity of design.
Supports the Orica business and IT strategy through the governance, design, implementation, management of change, and development of Orica applications.
What you will be doing
Coordinate across teams of contractors and professional services providers following HR, SHES and Procurement guidelines and requirements
Responsible for functional integration across the application landscape, review proposed changes to the design and blueprints across functional areas ensuring compliance to Orica processes and GPDO requirements
Responsible for managing and implementing regular product releases and upgrades to area of responsibility with the operational teams and support vendors.
Provide SME advice and support to operational teams, assisting with escalations, root cause analysis, post incident reviews and business impact validation
Responsible for ensuring outsource, contract and software vendors deliver effective IT performance
Ensure security and licensing requirements are met for area of responsibility
Engagement with key business stakeholders, GPDO’s and IT business engagement to support solutions
Maintain flexibility on working time to appropriately support the demands and issues of the day
Follow the IT and Business process governance framework and IT change management and service delivery processes
Ensure application delivery activities for areas of responsibility align to the IT design principles, IT strategy & architecture and business objectives
What you will bring
Tertiary qualification in an IT-related discipline
Complex enterprise landscapes experience
10+ years SAP experience managing complex changes across multiple solutions and functional areas
Experience in multiple SAP technical and / or functional areas - SAP S / 4Hana Purchasing, MM, SAP Ariba Sourcing & Contracts, SAP Ariba Networks, SAP LO, Accounts Payable, Open text VIM, eInvoicing solutions (eg EDICOM), SAP localisations including Brazil, SAP LE, SAP HU management, Track and Trace (SAP ATTP module), SAP PP, SD, Label printing (eg Loftware), Weighbridge solutions, ASN solutions, SAP S / 4HANA Advanced Planning, Manufacturing, QM, IBP, Successfactors, Fieldglass, SAP ECC payroll , Product Costing, Material ledger, Order Management (integration with PM orders, production orders, Product Cost Collectors, WBS), Cost Center / Profit Center Accounting and CO-PA, Finance (FX translations, integration, banking , assets & RE-FX and FSCM), SWIFT, SAP S / 4Hana SD, SAP GTS, SD-PS integration, SAP C4C, SAP S / 4Hana FSCM, TM, EM, BPC, PM, WCM, MOC, EHS, PPM, PS, Mobility solutions in EAM (Eg PM Eleven, my PM), PO, SAP IDM, GRC, Security, ABAP, Fiori
5+ years’ in a team lead / coordination role
Strong planning skills to conduct planning and forecasts
Proven experience in managing a multi-sourced team of employees, contractors and multiple vendors
Demonstrated experience and competency in project management methodologies
Demonstrated problem solving and remediation skills
Strong customer engagement and relationship building skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate to technical and lay audiences
