The position entails the following : Description The CIB Rates PM Tech team is made up of technical & self-motivated professionals who passionately care about the stability of applications and provide with out of the box solutions for their betterment.

Every team member has end-to-end responsibility including understanding an issue, finding solutions, implementing the solution and then scaling across CIB applications.

The individual should have proven skills to produce quality results to support highly critical business needs. Working closely with the development team, application support / operations teams and business users to ensure production environment’s integrity will be an important part of this function.

The CIB PM Tech team manages the strategic initiatives across all the CIB Production Management applications for synthetic monitoring, DevOps, cloud adoptability, cyber-

security, monitoring automation, capacity management, resiliency, hygiene and more. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day technical expertise and operational support to obtain highest degrees of production stability for all applications in scope of support.

Help monitor and improve monitoring of the application suite and proactively fix potential issues. ·Manage production technology incidents to resolution, ensuring timely engagement, escalation and effective communication to business, technology and vendor partners.

Act as a key contributor in the continued development of tools, frameworks & technique to improve productivity, stability, quality and promote automation.

Serve as a liaison to Application owners, Production owners and GTI for the strategic initiatives. Be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with Application Development and DevOps teams to prioritize issues / bugs in production.

Recommend system changes to reduce manual intervention in monitoring or managing system performance / stability / availability.

Ability to effectively manage multiple streams of work and to organize self (and others) to deliver in a timely fashion.

Ensure that infrastructure and application, as well as IT processes and procedures, meet strict security requirements and comply with IT Risk Management guidelines.

Help in defining capacity and resiliency requirement metrics and failover / BCP capabilities in partnership with business and development teams to improve reliability, stability and capacity management.

Communicate with various levels of management regarding system issues. Run forums to educate and share best practices and tools to the Rates Production Management team.

Technical Expertise ·5 7 years’ experience in Production Support / Maintenance / DevOps roles, ideally within financial services or a large-

scale technology firm ·Programming languages : Working knowledge in Python / Java and SQL development and stored procedures ·Database : Hands on experience in ORACLE, MySQL, or SQL server.

  • UNIX (RedHat Linux) skills including Unix Shell Scripting ksh, perl, bash etc. are a plus. ·UNIX / Linux and Windows system administration skills are a plus.
  • Database administration skills are a plus. General Competencies ·Strong problem management and problem investigation skills with ability to learn new skills quickly to add value to the process.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English, providing clear problem descriptions and resolutions. ·Excellent interpersonal relationship / teamwork skills.
