Manage, provide leadership, and direction to the development teams.
Lead complex projects, contributing to strategic vision and technical decisions, participating in vendor analysis and selection projects, introducing process improvements, ensure proof of concept projects are complete for introduction of changes to architecture, and providing oversight / mentorship for the department.
Contributes to and communicates product roadmap and department objectives and goals
Support operational and financial systems / applications used by RealPage internal community
Identify and allocate the proper resources to assure completion of established objectives within budget and schedule guidelines while upholding high technical standards
Manage day-to-day workflow including planning, scheduling, assigning and reviewing projects and tasks
Responsible for creating a team-oriented, problem-solving culture that fosters creativity and results in a performance-driven, customer-focused technology team.
Complete reports indicating progress of technical activities and department goals
Work with business and technical staff to design a solution that meets business needs and make recommendations based on industry best practices
Manage the full software development lifecycle for Enterprise Systems
Communicate with project manager, technical team leads, team members and customers about change requests while understanding their needs and the capabilities of the Enterprise applications
Responsible for release management during the entire Software Development Lifecycle
Oversee the administration of the Defect tracking and Source Code application
Supervises activities in order to provide adequate technical support for new product or process developments, production and product problems.
Be able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
Ensure the Change Management process is strictly followed and documentation is produced.
Ensure the Technology Standards are followed.
Participate in the resolution of emergency issues to ensure SLA is met and assign resources to assist with escalated issues.
Set technical expectations and goals.
Ensure processes are followed, including Code Reviews, Builds and Software Releases.
Review Architecture for Application Enhancements.
Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Ability to define and manage Business / Technology processes
Ability to manage pipeline for development team
Strong interpersonal, organizational and planning skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 4 years of IT experience implementing and supporting business applications across various platforms
4+ years of experience as team leader
Self-starter that can work well independently and in a collaborative team environment
Utilize strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills
Utilize excellent problem solving and root cause identification skills
Team player and able to work with and through others
