OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Customer Solutions Functional Lead drives the capturing of JDA WMS / TMS design details, leads configuration, assists testing and supports go-live regarding JDA implementation projects.

They would be responsible for assisting the Head of Solutions and Functional Analysts in day-to-day activities, driving solutions with the relevant Business Units and Customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DECISIONS / LEVEL OF AUTHORITY

  • Act as liaison between business application users and the IT department relative to functional requirements and solutions
  • Leads business process analysis or design phase activities of the project with a view to writing or reviewing functional specifications created by the Functional Analyst
  • Leads the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information
  • Leads all activities for a JDA WMS / TMS implementation from functional requirements to go-live stabilization
  • Work with various Automation / Sortation system partners to develop customised workflows (E.g. Vendors include Schaeffer and Dematic)
  • Analyse system issues to accommodate business needs using standard, best industry practices / processes
  • Analyse integration issues using WebMethods industry tools
  • Provide Level 2 subject matter expertise to functional users
  • Assist in defect resolution within the JDA application
  • Understands how the JDA solutions within area of focus can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes, ensuring ability to design, execute, and deliver
  • Provide primary user support and verifies that the system provides the required business functions and maintains data integrity
  • Mentor Functional Analysts within the team
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for user, management, and executive level audiences
  • Develop and maintain knowledge artefacts for client’s applications, including but not limited to :
  • o Warehouse, Transportation & Operations Applications : WMS systems, TMS Transportation systems

    o Overall E2E Application SME including back end database and solution architecture

    o Analysis, Design and Build of all JDA application workflows and master data migration scripts to match customer requirements

    o Create training, support, process documents, and test scripts where applicable using tools such as ARIS and HP Quality Centre

    o Development of WMS Jasper Reports and customer specific freight labels using Nice Labels software

    o Independently manage business / IT stakeholders during the implementation

    o Assist the Customer Solutions Delivery Manager with activities as assigned

    o Any other duties as assigned

    PRE-REQUISITES :

  • 5 - 10+ years of most recent JDA (or Red Prairie) WMS / TMS Platform (or equivalent Tier-1 application) implementation (including global template approach) experience.
  • 5 - 10+ years’ experience in application implementation of Supply Chain & Logistics systems environment for large organizations (multi verticals advantageous E.
  • g. Retail, FMCG, Telecoms)

  • 5 - 10+ years’ experience writing functional requirements, process and training documents, as well as test cases and project plans
  • Demonstrated experience in all DC processes (E.g. Receiving, Check-in, Putaway, Order Processing, Picking, Despatch and Inventory Management)
  • Demonstrated experience in configuring End User devices (E.g. RF handhelds and Thermal Label Printers)
  • Expert user in SQL / PL-SQL and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated experience integrating to WCS (Warehouse Control System) vendors (E.g. Schaeffer and Dematic)
  • ITIL Certification (advantageous)

    Qualifications

  • Four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a BS / BA in Management Information Systems / Science
