Education and Work Experience

  • Engineering Degree preferably in Computer Science
  • Experience in Application Support in Unix, Oracle and SQL Technologies
  • Knowledge in Middleware Technologies such as Websphere
  • Knowledge in Production Support and Monitoring tools
  • Knowledge in Unix Scripting
  • Knowledge in Application Production support in Tandem (HP Nonstop Netbatch) and also supporting critical online processing environment utilizing various platforms.
  • Experience in HP Nonstop Netbatch supporting a large number of batch jobs.
  • Technical Skills

  • Knowledge in Unix / Linux commands
  • Knowledge in supporting Web Based applications
  • SQL experience in any platform would be desirable. HP NonStop, Oracle, MSSQL, etc
  • Windows (OS, server) knowledge not to an administrator level
  • Good Knowledge in web server / app server architecture
  • Web technologies (Html / CSS), xml
  • Application Support

  • Analyze Application logs, troubleshoot issues, determine action and ensure Application Environments work smoothly
  • Create support documentation to reduce mean time to resolve
  • Support to Incident, Problem, Change and Request Tickets
  • Provide support to ensure Quality and Stable Environments to our clients
  • Online and Batch support
  • Application Change assessment and validation during change windows
  • Build tools necessary to simplify support and improve Application Environments
  • Scripting Knowledge
  • Operations and Processing Support

  • Experience working on Job Schedulers like Control M
  • Scripting skills to automate manual support activities
  • Monitoring Tools
  • Knowledge in ITIL Service Management tools
  • Availability

  • Flexibility to work in shifts and weekends
