FireEye is hiring a Sr Quality Engineer to play a key role in the evolution of our Email Threat Prevention Cloud-based SaaS Offering, by establishing a customer first vision for the quality of the product.
You will be as siting in leading a team of geographically-distributed, highly skilled engineers working on automated and white-box testing of multi-tenant Cloud systems, with a focus on high scalability & availability, multi-datacenter disaster recovery, information security, performance SLAs, component interoperability and a responsive user experience.
What you will do :
Contributes to technical test cases, usability principles
Work with Engineering Manager / Leads / Cloud Architects across team boundaries to implement world-class QE standards, use the existing test design approaches and best practices to develop and / or make best use of integrated scripts and tools.
Contributes to evolution of the software QE practice within the organization, including better issue reporting, QE documentation.
Work in an agile development environment.
Define the feature qualification through effective test cases, integration scenarios and activities to release product with cross product and functional teams.
Writes and executes complete test plans, designs and documentation for assigned portion of product; identifies, reports and follows up issues with code and integration into multi-tier architecture.
Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and external development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
Coaches and mentor’s fellow engineers.
3 to 6 years’ experience in testing multi-tenant Cloud SaaS applications and services
Scripting and coding expertise for QE automation using tools such as Robot Framework, Python - Selenium, and Phantom JS will be highly preferred.
Strong experience in applying QE best practices and test development in an iterative agile / scrum environment.
Experience in debugging / troubleshooting reliable distributed systems, with an emphasis on highvolume data management within enterprise and / or web-scale products and platforms that operate under strict SLAs.
Broad knowledge of DevOps and Operations practices in large-scale, multi-tenant, highly available AWS infrastructures will be highly preferred.
Quantitative experience in analyzing and testing large SQL / NoSQL data stores, streaming, multistage data pipelines and related technologies, e.
g., Elastic Search, Redis, Cassandra, MySQL, Spark, Kafka, or similar will be highly preferred.
Able to work collaboratively in large, multi-group project environments across Geos
Agility and ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and scope and priorities.
Proven credentials in driving QE innovations to create business impact and improve product Quality.
Working knowledge of source code control systems such as GitHub, and build environments such as Jenkins
Experience and expertise in cutting edge open source technologies; able to recommend & analyze QE tools available off-the-shelf
