Job Description Summary
The PLM Business Process Expert will convert requirements into technical capabilities and provides application capability options, sequence delivery priorities, configure designed solution, and perform testing to ensure achievement of the right outcomes.
This role will be working with product, business, and technology leaders to focus on solving the right problems, in the right way, at the right time using LEAN methodologies.
This includes understanding business requirements working the technical resources on application design, troubleshooting, performing root causes analysis, testing, and end-user support.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements.
Gather and formalize business requirements for PLM solution.
Validate requirements with representatives who will be affected by the business process or change and receive sign off from the stakeholders.
Collaborate with business group members to ensure the full end-to-end business process will function and meet business requirements within the project scope.
Recommend improvements to, or new requirements for, business processes and operational procedures.
Analyse existing system functionality and business processes in the scope of the business need and design valued, cost-effective solutions to support the business requirements.
Conduct research on PLM module functionalities and changes (User groups, Product Support Documentation / OSS, etc.).
Create documentation (business rules, as is / to be flows, requirements, data configuration, use cases, functional specs, testing forms etc.).
Collaborate with implementation team (including Area Architects, Software Engineers, etc.) to determine best IT and PLM solutions for identified business requirements.
Create, communicate, and coordinate test plans and test cases (integration, functional, user acceptance, regression, etc.).
Validate configuration changes meet the business requirements without negatively impacting existing functionality.
Document system configuration changes.
Participate in lessons learned.
Trouble-shoot customer issues on products supported within the business domain.
Provide guidance for the support teams by creating knowledge articles, process documentation.
Create end-user training materials.
Capable of training others as applicable on specific areas of business processes or systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8-10+ years of relevant experience.
Strong background & implementation knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter PLM.
Strong functional & implementation knowledge about various Teamcenter modules viz. Change Management, Configuration Management, Active Workspace, BoM Management.
Strong functional & implementation knowledge about Teamcenter’s integration with ERP viz. SAP, MS-Dynamics etc.
Strong communications skills (verbal, written, and listening).
Ability to clearly convey ideas and concepts verbally, in writing, and via presentations.
Ability to translate stakeholder requests into well-defined, documented use cases / requirements and review with stakeholders.
Ability to critically review and interpret technical documentation.
Able to communicate and convince users on design based on holistic and long-term solution and effectively trade off with short term benefits.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines through effective time management skills.
Ability to lead & mentor team members including other business analyst.
Ability to provide technical guidance within a global, cross-functional team.
Must be detail-oriented and able to work within a team setting.
Proficient at problem solving and analytical techniques.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal team members and external stakeholders.
Ability to work with integrity and build trust.
CBAP (Certified Business Analyst professional) preferred.
PMP certification preferred.
Six sigma Greenbelt / Blackbelt training / certification preferred.
