This particular position in the Connected Aero organization is for an energetic, experienced and strong team player to take end-to-end ownership in architecting and developing complex cloud-based, enterprise-grade software applications.
You will use your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations;
trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.
Leads and participates in the SDLC activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Forge for Airlines products
Lead and recommend architecture strategies, processes and methodologies.
End-to-end solutions for end users and product development in a DevSecOps environment
Own end-to-end software requirements, architecture, design, coding, integration, testing, verification & validation and certification.
Be versatile, willing to work on all levels of the code stack and comfortable to code in multiple languages.
Develop cloud adoption plans, application design, and deployment mechanisms
Be a technology evangelist that supports other team members to adopting and implementing technology to improve the application.
Identifies and recommends areas appropriate for further study and participates in any Proof of Concept projects required to thoroughly investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen arguments for their adoption
Own customer experience, customer support and be the voice of the customer
Exhibit strong analytical & software development skills
Provide transparency into planning, implementation status, risks, etc.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science
15+ years of overall product development experience with in-depth exposure to Cloud technologies, with at least the last 5 years in building mission critical Cloud, SaaS and / or Enterprise Security.
Strong understanding of system design and expertise in architecture of cloud design patterns using microservices.
Cloud-native skills and hands-on experience building Cloud / Data products.
Good knowledge in solid design principles and architecture / design patterns.
Embrace and be a champion of CI / CD delivery process, DevSecOps and automation.
Proficiency in Java / Struts, Python, Scala, APIs, Microservices, backend data management incl. interface with Hadoop, Spark, relational databases, SQL, etc.
Deep understanding of auto-scaling, elastic, distributed systems working experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Openshift and related container platform ecosystems
Proficiency in cloud technologies such as Azure and prior experiences in design, implement, deploy and manage cloud based solutions.
Understanding of Honeywell Forge Platform is a plus.
Understanding various software development lifecycle
Knowledge of software configuration management, software product development, data management and change management practices
