Job Description

Design and apply quality checks ensuring Drug Development process and project plans are done according to approved processes.

Interact with line functions across divisions to implement, track and follow up measures to improve data quality. Coordinate interfaces and ensure high quality data flow between the project management system (Horizon), executive information system and other applications.

Contribute to the PPM reporting strategy by supporting the PPM report development and implementation in order to support better-

informed planning and decision making. Contribute to overall Horizon training strategy to strengthen project management best practices, encouraging cross functional plans, deliverable ownership and interdependency tracking.

Work in collaboration with the training department to design modern training strategies and material to optimize training delivery.

Act as primary contact point to the Horizon user community to provide guidance on the appropriate set up of Drug development Plans in Horizon so that these support on one hand the IMB / DCN governance requirements as well as the Global Program Teams project management needs.

Set up and lead cross-divisional / international / functional Horizon User counsels for dedicated user communities to

  • Reinforce best practices
  • Raise awareness on process updates
  • Solicit feedback on usability issues impairing the usage of Horizon, design solutions in collaboration with the Horizon governance board
  • Drive the implementation of new templates and template changes in Horizon in accordance to project management best practices Interact with Portfolio Governance team to
  • confirm IMB / DCN decisions and record IMB decisions in Horizon
  • Support GDD new governance model / IMB model and ensure consistent execution of governance processes
  • Track forecasts deviations and advise project managers of the requirements to confirm to procedures 5 direct reports and extensive matrix interactions with GPT members and work package managers in leadership and supportive roles.
  • Minimum requirements

    Masters or Doctoral in life sciences / chemistry or Bachelors of Science plus Masters in Business Administration Fluent English (oral and written)

  • 10 years in the industry
  • 5 years or equivalent multi- / cross functional team experience
  • People management experience
  • Demonstrated track record of success working on an international multidisciplinary team, preferably in a complex matrix environment
  • In depth knowledge of drug development process
  • Knowledge of resource (forecast and headcount) planning and management
  • Well organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management skills with respect to priorities and self-management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) for bridging across diverse, cross functional, multi-
  • national, geographically dispersed teams
