Position Overview As a Business Development Representative is to be the front line to the field sales team by actively prospecting, cold calling into defined segments, updating CRM (Salesforce), and providing value leads / opportunities to the direct sales team.

The Business Development Representative will work with a defined process and be expected to nurture accounts through various stages.

You turn the Cold into the Gold! Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new opportunities for the sales team through targeted outbound cold calling and prospecting
  • Work in partnership with experienced Account Executives to build and maintain a large pipeline of qualified sales opportunities to support revenue targets and quota
  • Communicate with prospects that show an interest in our products and services
  • Know, understand, and present value proposition clearly and succinctly
  • Educate prospects on how our products and services can fulfil their current and future needs
  • Identify and map new prospect business issues to our products and services
  • Report on the success of marketing campaigns and provide the "what worked and what did not work" feedback
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities gathered through prospect / field activity to appropriate company staff
  • Be a team player; share your knowledge and successes
  • Requirements

  • University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a minimum of 1 year of proven success in the software industry using inbound and outbound prospecting as your primary success tools in a B2B sales environment
  • History of over-achieving quota
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Your most important asset is your ability to be personable but persuasive and to communicate convincingly over the phone
  • Skilled at overcoming objections
  • Proven successful history of being able to "get" to the right people
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Enjoy the challenge of developing new business
  • Outstanding client care skills
  • Creative thinker & process driven
  • Solution and ROI selling experience; strength in using solutions selling tactics
  • Salesforce.com experience is an asset
  • Open to work in North America Shift timings
