Key Accountabilities

This role is for a Data Engineer who can understand and solves complex functional, technical and practices that covers data and has the ability to understand the end to end data lifecycle capabilities and technologies and provide the architectural guidance in the selection, articulation and use of the chosen solutions.

The successful candidate will be expected to interact with all levels of the business and technical community, seeking strong engagement with all stakeholders.

The candidate should be expert in functional data architecture & design, including strong data modelling. A candidate who is self-disciplined, with a keenness to master, suggest and work with different technologies & toolsets.

The role would also involve intensive interaction with the business and other technology functions, so good communications skills and the ability to work under pressure are is essential.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • 10-14 years of overall IT experience.
  • Essential Skills :

  • Hands on data engineering skills on AWS and Snowflake
  • Strong exposure to Data Modelling, Data Access Patterns, Integration Design and SQL
  • Good understanding of data technologies including RDS and No-SQL databases on AWS.
  • Exposure to AWS Data Services, SnowSQL / Snowpipe, Role based access controls, ETL / ELT tools like Nifi / DBT
  • Good knowledge of Data streaming methods using Nifi, SPARK or JAVA
  • Experience of designing micro services for Domain API’s with sound understanding of Authentication & Authorisation methods
  • Define tools used for design specifications, data modelling and data management capabilities with exploration
  • Hands on working knowledge around EC2, Lambda, ECS / EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC’s
  • Conversant with Data Virtualisation like Denodo
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills suitable for a diverse audience, with the ability to communicate in a positive, friendly and effective manner with technical’ or non-technical’ users / customers
  • Experience to handle data lifecycle and manage Non Functional Requirements for data acquisition and distribution.
