Job Description

  • Working with instructional designers, the service education content developer will take the design blueprint and develop and maintain education content in any format
  • This individual will work independently and with subject matter experts and other team members to develop conceptual materials, exercises and training scenarios as well as perform an assessment of education materials.
  • These materials will be grounded in sound educational best practices in adult learning theory

  • This person will demonstrate and use effective analysis, project management, and course development and evaluation skills in order to deliver high-
  • quality education products

  • The individual is also responsible for the development of service training content for the assigned modality products which includesAnalysis of the role / task models for service delivery currently implemented in the most significant key marketsEvaluation of gaps in competency / service product training products in cooperation with service, application and key markets representativesDevelopment of training content optimally addressing the gaps of the specific role / task groupsInterface with BIU service innovation, technical authors and R&D regarding product improvement and service informationAct as the intermediary between CS education & documentation and BIU
  • Other aspects of the role

  • Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation
  • Works with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features
  • Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions
  • Follows up to determine the applicability of course material
  • Works on problems of moderate scope where the analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors using Root Cause Analysis
  • The development of the solution requires a multi-disciplinary approach and knowledge of basic principles, theories and concepts
  • Formulates the solution for (technical) partial problems by combining previous experiences based on technical analysis and (feasibility) studies
  • May lead small projects, managing a small number of people
