We are looking for a Senior Android Application Developer responsible for the development and maintenance of our ERP's android application used by the layman worker on our production line to speed up production.
Your primary focus will be the development of our ERP's Android module and its integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure.
Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Our admin departments including but not limited to : Finance, HR, Planning, Inventory, Security, etc., use our ERP website to produce on-time efficient work that the system keeps track of and assists them in completing a list of AI-generated Daily Tasks.
The layman worker uses our mobile application on the production line to retrieve and update production information in real-time instead of relying on paperwork.
The system learns over time using our Machine Learning models to think and make simple decisions like : Which leather order to produce first for maximum profits How to optimize production using effective load management on the machines What are the best salary points that balance our budget yet keep our employees happy
The Artificial Intelligence modules being implemented try to make more significant decisions in nanoseconds as we seek to remove further redundancies in administrative work.
Essentially we seek an efficient Android Developer who can ensure the smooth development and running of our ERP's Android application.
Thus enabling our Data Scientists' to experiment without worrying about system failure or slowdown.
Key Skills Required
Our Senior Android Application Developer's job requires proficiency and proven experience in the following skills :
Good handle on key Java fundamentals
Proficiency programming in Kotlin 1.5.0
Understandable and good enough knowledge of XML
How to use Android Studio to build and deploy applications
Virtual Machines and how to simulate them on Android Studio
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
Familiarity with REST APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as 'touch'
Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
A knack for benchmarking and optimization
Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Familiarity with continuous integration
Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

Relocation to Kanpur - Since the central hub of our large conglomerate is our Tannery division. You must be willing to relocate to Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where our Tannery resides.
Initial Probation Period - Standard company procedure keeps every new employee at the temporary status on a probationary contract for four months.
If the company decides your employment does not yield the desired performance during this probation, we can terminate with a two-week notice without pay for the last two weeks.
Upon completing the probation period, our boss (Mr. Tasneef Mirza) and his advisors assess your performance to extend or delay a permanent employment contract.
After two years, all temporary employees are extended Full-Time Permanent contracts, regardless of the boss's approval. However, everyone usually gets their permanent contract at the end of their probation.
Permanency comes with its benefits, including but not limited to Provident Fund and the Employee State Insurance Scheme.
Work Day / Hour Demands - We work a standard of 10 hours a day for six days a week, from 9 am to 7 pm every Monday through Friday.

NDA Signature - Since our business is one of India's largest leather and shoe businesses, it is also one of the most vulnerable ones.
Therefore you will have to sign a complete non-disclosure agreement that aggressively protects everything from our code to our data.
Violation of the NDA will lead to immediate termination along with civil charges filed.
Termination for Non-Performance - Every employee in our corporation is given three chances to rectify themselves should they become a hindrance.
You will be issued a formal written warning upon noticing a visible deterioration in work, inappropriate workplace behavior, general inability to perform astutely, or any other valid reason.
After the third written warning, the fourth will automatically mean termination of employment, effective immediately. Every two years, employee records are cleared of written warnings.

The Second Interview is a personality evaluation with our Director. Since the ERP development team is directly under his purview, he will personally assess whether you have the spark and vigor we are looking for
Finally, if you pass the above two rounds of interviews, you will be given a call back asking you to join as soon as possible.
You will have one month from selection to report for work; else, your employment will be terminated.
