Computing Systems Product Group (CSPG) is a global organization spanning the Development, SQA, TME, Product management and Program management organizations.
CSPG is responsible for delivering an innovative end-to end way to configure both Rack and Blade servers all the way from firmware revisions to I / O connectivity for growing highly complex data centers while enabling IT as a Service (ITaaS).
Currently our product portfolio consists of Unified Computing Servers, both Blade and Rack models; and the Unified Computing System Management software which allows simplified access and control to all components of the complete end to end solution.
The Business unit provides an excellent opportunity to grow in exciting and expanding market of virtualization in the data center.
CSPG is creating the vision, strategy, and products for next generation data center server access and virtualization. Our dynamic team is comprised of seasoned engineers and motivated junior engineers interested in learning and growing their skills in a fast changing, growing market.
We are excited about our vision of the next generation server access and virtualization architecture. You will be a part of fast paced SQA team responsible for delivering the Server Management BMC, BIOS, Utilities, Storage and related functionality of the Unified Computing System.
What You'll Do
Hands-on automation Engineer for a team developing Test automation infrastructure and test suites for the latest technologies and trends in Cisco Standalone Server as part of the UCS validation team at Cisco, Bangalore .
Expected to apply best-in-class design & development tools and methodologies to take the QA infrastructure and team to the next level in terms of excellence in delivery.
Also expected to possess and apply strong web technologies skill to build dashboards for the automation metrics, automation portals.
The products under test are the Cisco C-Series and S-Series Rack servers. You will be a part of team responsible for automating the Server Management BMC, BIOS, Utilities, Storage and related functionality of the Unified Computing System.
Who You Are
6 to 9 years of experience in Automation Development with strong expertise in Python / Perl / Ruby.
Experience in web 2.0 technologies, designing & building end-to-end web based applications.
Experience in developing and maintaining CI / CD process for enterprise SaaS and on-prem applications using tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, etc
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Fabric, Puppet or SaltStack
Expertise in Linux System Admin and Bash Scripting
Hands-on experience in build and administer VMs and Containers using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes
Passion for coding, technically very strong automation developer who can guide the team on all technical aspects including debug complex technical issues, exploring open source software
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and designing for performance, scale and longevity
Strong Knowledge in XML, JSON, REST API and / or WSDL
Hands-on experience in the validation of Server BMC, BIOS, Utiities.
Hands-on experience with VMware, Linux and Windows OS
