The Head of Indirect Procurement, APAC & IT Hardware / Software Expert is responsible for establishing, managing and improving all aspects of strategically sourcing goods and services for DN Asia Pacific with the overall goal of maximizing the value of the sourcing decisions and supplier relationships.
This position is also accountable for developing the IT Hardware & Software sourcing strategy in conjunction with the Global Category team.
Overall responsibility for strategically engaging with the internal customer and supplier base, this position leads the procurement function, including development and implementation of strategic and operational sourcing, procurement, contracting and supply management strategies, and operations processes to ensure the organization attains the best value in the goods and services required to enable achievement of its goals.
This position is also responsible for the development of category & supplier strategy for IT Hardware & Software Category.
You are responsible for
Design and execute procurement strategy, supported by tactical and innovative procurement programs, to deliver enhanced benefits and value to the customer / end-user and to support service delivery aims
Build market intelligence capabilities, analysis of market trends and best practice to ensure sourcing and procurement strategies and approaches are current, risks are identified and governance frameworks are effective, and insight is gained through the analysis of costs, benefits and supply markets
Develop and implement organizational procurement policies and processes to ensure a consistent and standardized approach and to drive improvements and efficiencies in procurement activities
Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders to provide strategic insights on business needs, resolve complex issues and deliver high-performance cost, service and quality outcomes
Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement to encourage innovative practices and support the delivery of business and policy directions
Provide leadership, direction and effective management of the procurement team and cross-functional working groups to achieve a high-level of performance in procurement and deliver high-quality service to stakeholders
Identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks to minimize negative impacts on organizational objectives while encouraging opportunity and innovation
Establish performance standards and evaluation processes to assess and report on procurement activity in terms of progress, results, customer satisfaction, value and cost
Master’s Degree with 10+ years of experience in Procurement & Supply Chain managing multiple geographies.
Managed a spend over $ 100 M in the past and led global / regional teams >
Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable working in unstructured environments. Skilled to keep teams motivated at all times.
Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
Experience leading the development and implementation of strategic procurement plans for IT Hardware & Software
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Independent judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
