3 years of hands on experience in product documentation for enterprise class software.
Roles and responsibilities
Analyze & understand product requirements, IN ORDER TO design technical content to document, and provide inputs to estimation & schedules for product documentation.
Regular collaboration with engineering and support personnel to determine technical information requirements based on user stories, design documents, engineering specifications, and discussions.
Actively participate with engineering teams throughout product development cycle, provide feedback on user experience designs, UI strings etc IN ORDER TO help deliver high quality & timely deliverables from engineering teams.
Represent & own information development efforts for assigned product line, interact with various project stake holders as required and propose process refinement for ID practices.
Following companies & industries best practices IN ORDER TO develop high quality documentation for appropriate audience skill level.
Efficiently address review comments and revise information based on internal and external customer feedback.
Be evangelist for improving product & documentation s user experience BY participating in conducting usability reviews, reviewing UX etc.
Must be technically inclined to understand infrastructure, enterprise product technologies and analyze documentation requirements.
Experience in documenting software products for technical audience.
Should be hands on with software, ability to understand high level use cases, architecture of product and must be able to install & use the software product being documented.
Thorough understanding of technical writing standards, processes, and their application.
Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with software developers, testers, support engineers, and doc team members
Experience in creating software documentation for native English users.
Excellent hold on English grammar.
Strong knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker (Structured) .
Ability and Flexibility to work with teams across different geographies.
Highly detail oriented, self - managed and organized, pay specific attention to details & quality.
Good to Have (Highly Desirable) skills
Experience in developing video documentation for the software products.
Exposure to user experience design & concepts.
Experience of conducting usability studies of software product.
