About Enterprise Global Services

Department Overview

Technology Risk Management is an organization of approximately 600 team members that have come together from diverse backgrounds in risk management and technology management.

Central Risk Service teams manage the end-to-end life cycle of the Technology Risk Services and Operational Risk Teams that directly support the EIT business units providing risk consulting and risk services to EIT.

About Role

The primary role of the Operational Risk Consultant position will be to support the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) Global Delivery Risk function and the Global Delivery operational risk programs.

A strong background in technology and operational risk management, and the ability to work across a large, complex and highly matrixed organization will be critical.

The selected candidate will focus on the following duties :

  • Facilitate smooth conduct of Risk Assessments as part of Global delivery risk reviews.
  • Support maintenance of development of Risk assessment strategies, methodologies and related processes and procedures.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls; analyze business and / or system changes to determine impact, identify and assess operational risk issues and assigns risk ratings consistent with established policy standards
  • Report findings and develop business cases to influence senior management on the need for controls to mitigate risk
  • Coordinate production of periodic operational risk performance reports for senior management, including trend analysis and recommended mitigation strategies
  • Partner with Compliance teams to support regulatory reviews, audits and other compliance activities as developed and defined
  • Manage complex business units and work with risk partners to provide technology risk expertise and consulting during global technology projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with corporate risk functions to ensure appropriate connectivity to corporate risk initiatives
  • Manage complex technology business units and provides operational risk support for risk projects and initiatives
  • Contribute to the fortnightly Risk Management updates for IT and Information management in Global delivery risk management (GDRM) reviews meetings.
  • Actively participate in GDRM team and community meetings representing GDRM
  • Responsibilities

  • Ability to create SQL queries, pivot tables in excel, analyze large data set and create reports, automate scripts in VB scripts and MS-access.
  • Highly proficient in database applications, and analytical software.
  • Critical Thinking, ability to do root cause analysis of data and address data quality issue via automation.
  • Ability to understand written security policies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner. Ability to produce high-
  • quality reports and documentation.

    Detail oriented, with ability to manage time and organize competing priorities.

    Market Skills and Certifications

    Essential Qualifications

    University degree in Engineering or related discipline.

  • Work experience : ORC3 : 5 8 years of overall experience with a minimum of 3 years' experience in compliance, operational risk management, information security governance, technology policy implementation, control assessments or risk assessment s in a multinational financial institution or similar
  • Good understanding of, and experience with Information Risk Management, Audit and Business (IT) controls.
  • Ability to foresee and identify mitigation strategies for Risks, candidate must also :
  • Display excellent communicating and influencing skills
  • Display analytical and problem solving skills
  • Be pro-active and self-motivated
  • Display strong interpersonal and negotiating skills with all levels of staff Exposure to global delivery model and transitions
  • Desired Qualifications

    Technical knowledge & relevant experience in security domains / technologies related to :

  • Identity and Access Management
  • Business Impact Assessment
  • Infrastructure / Application security
  • A qualification in CISA, CISM, CRISC, CRCM, CRMA CGEIT or ISO 27001 is preferred
