What role are you expected to play?
Own the product roadmap and prioritize building what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product.
Own the creative process of generating, developing, and curating new ideas.
Determine what should be realized as features in the product.
Prioritize features by ranking them against the strategic goals and initiatives. This requires making difficult trade-off decisions based on the value that new features will deliver to customers and to the business.
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
Conduct Market Research including but not limited to Competitive Analysis and gather information about customer needs and market drivers
Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
Essential experience and skill set for the role
5 or more years of experience in designing software products.
Must have demonstrable experience working in the EdTech Business.
Bachelor's degree in engineering and / or an MBA.
Having experience on both B2C and B2B segments would be a bonus.
More than 10 years of experience working in software projects in various roles.
Demonstrable experience working with development teams using agile methodologies and continuous development practices.
Required soft skills :
A self-starter attitude, ability to work independently and in a group, demonstrated initiative, and good writing / briefing skills are great to have.
Should be good at analytical thinking and breaking down large problems into solvable chunks.
Demonstrated the ability to think creatively and come up with ideas / thoughts with significant business / organizational impact.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing product development trends.
Approachable, open minded and ability to work well with others.
Strong strategic thinking ability - ability to plan and think ahead in anticipation of environmental shifts.
Ability to command respect across the organization based on professionalism and expertise.
