Position Summary :

This position provides an exciting opportunity to help Unify Communications within a complex environment. Knowledge of O365 / Skype For Business / MS Teams, SIP and Avaya will allow the correct candidate to be successful in this role.

The successful candidate will deploy & support our Unified platforms globally. Duties include; resolving issues on Skype For Business, Avaya and SIP platforms, System Monitoring, Major outage management, supporting ticket resolution, project management and oversea our telecom vendors to deliver a quality service to our business colleagues.

Deployment and support of global IP-based UC solutions using on-premise and cloud based leading VoIP technologies. Full technical and operational ownership of SIP-based enterprise telephony solutions utilizing session border controllers (Cisco, Ribbon, Oracle) and Call managers (Cisco, Avaya).

This person will also closely work with the technical teams from network service providers (AT&T, Microsoft, Amazon, Genesys) for integration and operational support of cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

At least 5-6 years’ experience within a Unified Communications role.

O365 & Microsoft Teams, Avaya, configuration and support

Full understanding of SIP trunking and endpoints.

Provide an excellent employee experience when interacting with business colleagues

Monitor for P1 incidents and oversee the day-to-day tickets raised for voice infrastructure

Support our Vendors with troubleshooting telecom-based problems

Perform monthly analysis and provide any reports required

Utilize monitoring tools to ensure our environment remains stable

Determine preventative maintenance documentation in conjunction with our vendors

Support on-call rotation initiative to support the business 24x7

Create and maintain documentation

Comply with company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures

Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities :

System maintenance, Upgrades, and Migrations processes

Operational reporting tools and proactive monitoring of global UC platform

Documentation of operational architecture, interfaces and procedures for troubleshooting

Supporting end users and locations in the assigned geographies and time zones

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :

Qualification Bachelor of Engineering / Diploma in Engineering / Graduate of any stream with technical experience of at least 10+ years of Telecommunication Experience in AVAYA / CISCO / Shortel / Ring central or Other brands of VOIP Systems along with experience in Unified Communication and Data networking platfor.

Strong knowledge and Experience of Telecom protocols : SIP, ISDN, PSTN, BRI, PRI, T1, E1 etc.

Good Understanding of VMware, Windows etc.

Good understanding and hands on experience on Avaya UC + CC portfolios- CM, CMS, SBC, AES, , Avaya Media Gateways, Session manager, System manager, Avaya Diagnostic Servers, Avaya Aura Messaging.

  • provide remote support during planned maintenance window. With addition to Incident, candidates will need to work on problem management &
  • change management also.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.

    Proven ability in managing large UC infrastructure installations, upgrades and refreshes, consolidating and modernizing technology footprints, cloud integration and migration, and network traffic / capacity optimization.

    Experience working in a global environment with stakeholders across multiple geographies

    Excellent network debugging skills

    Good communication and presentation skills
