Participate in infrastructure capacity planning and expansion activities. Assist in the design and implementation of new network architecture, network projects, and upgrades for datacenter as well as for public cloud.
Perform network problem resolution, assist in the development and documentation of technical standards, and interface applications.
Document and maintain the Network layout and related SOP and process.
Integrate and schematically depict communications architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations.
Provide data on system and application network activity and give interpretation and guidance to relevant stakeholders.
Evaluate new products and services.
Monitor network utilization, capacity, and quality utilizing tools such as Nagios and Solar Winds. Monitor protocol compatibility, perform system tuning and make recommendations for improvements
Detect, diagnose, and resolve network problems using methods that minimally impact production environment function.
Actively participate in identifying and resolving complex functional issues, helping to identify or rule out network issues in a 24x7-production environment.
Maintain network security controls and compliance on all network hardware. Work with Information Security team to establish network security standards and assess network vulnerability.
Maintain a service-oriented environment focused on problem prediction, detection, and resolution.
Work in rotating shifts and carry on-call phone.
Work with Lights-out DataCenter teams to carry out installations, troubleshooting, replacement, equipment movement etc.
You’ve got what it takesif you have
Bachelors or Advanced Degree in Engineering preferably in Computer Science (or related discipline)
Preferences to those with strengths in quantitative / analytical skills as well as experience in handling budgetary responsibilities with success.
Must have 12+ years of relevant hand-on technical experience
10 years Data Center networking implementation and operational experience is a must.
Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on technical experience in designing, implementing and supporting network related activities in AWS, including but not limited to VPCs, Firewall, IDP, Transit GW, ELBs etc.
along with deployment automation.
CCNP, CCIE LAB is desirable. CCVP a plus.
Experience in configuring Gateway Trunks and signaling, Dial Plans, SIP, H.323
Must possess an understanding of TCP / IP, SSL management, routing, access control lists, security, firewall and network traffic analysis.
In addition, must be Internet savvy with regards to security, DNS, SMTP and Virtual Private Networks
Extensive management and configuration experience of Cisco ASR, SBC, edge routers / switches and Firewall, Remote Access servers, RIP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, NAT, Layer 2 and Layer 3 VLANs, STP, L7 filtering and load balancing using F5 load balancers.
Strong Working Experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls and Juniper SRX Firewalls, IPSec VPNs.
Expert level knowledge and understanding of Switching technologies on Cisco Nexus platform (Nexus 7k / 5k / 2k and 3k / 9k).
Experience in supporting Saas / cloud applications ideally around collaboration tools preferred.
