Responsibilities
Perform feasibility, conceptual and detailed design of mixed-signal Integrated Circuits (ICs) in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies for high-speed TX and RX PHYs
Definition, planning, design, simulation, verification and documentation of high-performance mixed signal integrated circuits and providing good quality results
Engage with other team members to establish design requirements and block specifications
Provide technical support and mentor junior members of the team
Provide technical guidance to layout and system engineering teams
Responsible for all activities ranging from architecture and design to silicon bring up and characterization
Collaborate with other functional teams like digital design, verification, system engineering, software to ensure robustness of the design
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have deep understanding of analog mixed-signal design with experience in high-speed serial links
Solid understanding and experience of designing analog mixed signal circuit blocks including Bandgap, ESD, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, amplifiers, comparators, ESD, Oscillators etc
In-depth knowledge of analog mixed-signal concepts like mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power and low-noise techniques
Experience with high-speed driver design and high-speed digital circuits (e.g., serializer, deserializer, counters, dividers, etc.)
Experience with Tx / Rx equalization techniques and circuits like de-emphasis, CTLE, DFE
Familiarity with CDR architectures and implementations
Design experience in advanced CMOS technologies, design with FDSOI and FinFet technology
Ability to take a design, perform schematic to post-layout verification, sign-off to post-silicon bring up
Hands-on experience with AMS IC development from definition to high-volume production including layout supervision, bench evaluation, correlation, and characterization
Experience in lab testing of high-speed serial links
Knowledge of common high-speed SerDes protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB etc.). Having HDMI knowledge is added advantage
Thorough working knowledge of Circuit design EDA tools using Cadence Virtuoso suite, fast spice simulators, co-sim VerilogA modelling etc
Shell scripting to automate circuit design and verification work
Modeling of digitally assisted analog adaptive loops (using C, MATLAB or Python, etc.)
Able to work with teams across the globe and possess excellent communication and presentation skills
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of analog circuit design experience with Master / Bachelor in Electronics
