The Software Integrity Engineer for NVH is fully responsible for testing and evaluation of all the NVH related functionalities using our HyperWorks software suite.
He or she will work within a product development team, providing feedback on functionality, usability, and performance during the development cycle.
His / her tasks include identifying, documenting, executing and automating all NVH related use cases for pre-processing, post-
processing and solving using HyperWorks products.
Ensure the quality of Altair HyperWorks products meets the needs of the NVH community.
Create comprehensive QA test plans for evaluations of NVH modeling, simulation and performance.
Collaborate with Product Development, documentation and support teams to create NVH use-cases.
Manually test and evaluate NVH tools in Altair HyperWorks on the usability & accuracy of the NVH tools.
Report all quality related issues to the product development team.
Validate the resolved bugs and certify product builds to be deployed for customer or internal releases.
Evaluate, Develop and implement automated test suits to meet the latest release needs.
Create, review & maintain the automated test cases reports for NVH suit.
Work with developers and Automation team to resolve their queries relating to product use cases.
Resolve queries from customers and support teams related to NVH.
Review all documentation and Tutorials related to NVH in HyperWorks suit.
BS / BE or MS / ME in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Sound knowledge of physics & structural engineering principles
Strong fundamental knowledge of vibration theory and finite element methods
Industrial experience with NVH analysis of automobiles
Some experience with CAE tools available in the NVH domain
Energetic, enthusiastic and able to work effectively with others
Excellent communication and time management skills
Able to work in a fast-paced, informal environment where flexibility is important
Able to take complete ownership for all work being performed and deliver on time
Proficient in building full vehicle NVH models using CAE tools
Experience with modal, frequency response, acoustic and transient analyses using CAE tools
Some background in evaluating NVH performance using CAE tools
Proficiency with HyperWorks, Nastran, ANSA or SysNoise
Programming experience. Especially with TCL / TK, C++ or Python
