Your field of responsibility

The Chief Data Officer (CDO) function is responsible to establish and maintain strong Data Management within the Chief Compliance Office (CCO) division.

To support its operations, we are looking for a Data Governance Analyst to support the Head of Data Governance from the Pune office.

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

  • Analyze data flows (data lineage) at the application / interface level or at the individual field level. Identify, collect and manage information about data definition, usage and transformation
  • Enhance, extend and maintain the divisional Data Inventory and ensure its quality, in particular data lineage and data delivery agreements
  • Support identification of critical data and its ownership, mapping and lineage
  • Develop and maintain templates, knowledge base and training material
  • Act as Data Governance champion and support business partners with training and daily queries
  • Support logistics, administration and operation of the divisional Data Governance Council and of the divisional Data Sourcing Council.

    Your skills and experience

    To excel in this role, you should possess below :

    Proven 8-10 years’ experience in a global bank and a data related environment, particularly one involving change

    Understanding of Data Management, Data Governance and Business and Technical Data Architecture (data modelling, glossaries, data lineage, etc.)

    Background in banking process analysis and / or data analytics. Knowledge of banking products and processes, in particular within Compliance functions would be an advantage

    Data Governance regulations in the Banking industry (BCBS 239, DFS504, FTR / FATF16)

    Experience with Data Management practices and tools (such as Collibra, Informatica iDQ, Hadoop, Palantir Foundry, Cloudera)

    Strong analytical skills and problem solving capabilities

    Outstanding communication and presentation skills

    High sense of responsibility and independent working practice, showing initiative and high level of reliability

    Experience in working in a global multi-location environment

    Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking who can work on own initiative and can deliver on time with a high level of integrity and flexibility, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
