As an IT Business Analyst for Sales, you will be part of an Agile project team utilizing Agile methodologies, working in a fast-paced, iterative environment, closely partnered with business stakeholders.

You will work to design new systems and improve existing systems, create design documentation, software specifications, and testing / training scenarios and will evaluate processes for alignment opportunities.

You will participate in new functionality estimation, analysis, design and testing and define application requirements by working closely with key stakeholders and other members of the project teams.

Job Description

The B2B Analyst role provides internal and external support as an Electronic Data Interface resource and Business to Business subject matter expert.

This position is responsible for providing internal support for sales staff, information technology staff, and external vendor and customer management to ensure data interfaces are being completed effectively between external vendors and trading partners.

This position will facilitate the integration process to ensure each client configuration is completed within the necessary timelines and quality standards.

The B2B Analyst should possess subject matter expertise with designing, implementing and maintaining complex interfaces between internal and external systems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as an internal consultant within Sales teams and partner organizations on B2B / EDI capabilities and operations execution best practices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors and trading partners (customers and suppliers)
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, suppliers, and internal processing teams
  • Help coordinate, test, and implement EDI / B2B partner launches for both new and existing clients; Manage tasks, issues, and timelines to ensure deliver of quality integration solutions on schedule
  • Research escalations from internal and external team members
  • Coach and mentor team members on B2B / EDI best practices
  • Deliver large scale, high-value projects by leveraging an established delivery methodology
  • Provide expert functional and process guidance on system capabilities and solution approaches
  • Work within cross-functional teams (Operations areas, other Agile teams, Sales, PMO) to drive successful deployments
  • Leverage metrics and performance data to understand opportunities for improvement
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience on EDI Standards (ANSI X-12, EDIFACT, XML and RosettaNet)
  • Experience with SAP SD / LE Sales and Distribution / Logistics Execution modules
  • Proven ability to multitask, adjust priorities, meet deadlines, and successfully operate in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to follow through on and successfully execute tasks while adhering to specified quality standards
  • Excellent problem analysis, troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build rapport while providing superior customer service and maintaining positive relationships with internal teams and client contacts
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess proactive mindset to seek information to create effective solutions
  • Ability to facilitate and drive decisions and clarification
  • Required education and experience :

  • Bachelor degree and / or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Electronic Data Interfaces (EDI) and / or Business to Business (B2B) technologies
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with external vendors and third parties
  • Experience within a semiconductor or high-tech firm is a plus
  • Experience with Dell Boomi is a plus
