R&D IT Software Engineering Services is one of NXP’s newest IT teams, which will grow fast and will become even more important in the next years.

NXP’s software community is growing rapidly and is asking fast IT response. IT Software Engineering Services must become more Agile by automation and Orchestration in a secure, stable and end-

user friendly way. We must constantly be aware of how modern technologies can integrate into our IT environment and ultimately serve new demands and better end user satisfaction in a timely manner.

Job Summary

Within the R&D IT Software Engineering Service team you will be responsible to gather business requirements for the applications involved and develop, maintain and support IT Services for the Software Community.

We work in an Agile way and therefore your focus will be to further automate and orchestrate our environment and help our customers to utilize our services as efficient and effective as possible.

You will work on existing IT Services but also help to design and implement new IT Services.

This is for the position of a Software Engineer who will have responsibilities for configuring, administering and supporting tools used in the Software Delivery life cycle.

The applications / tools include software ALM tools for software development tracking, configuration management, build and integration management tools.

You should have an ability to grasp innovative technologies quickly and work independently with minimal supervision. For this position you will be required to demonstrate flexible and proactive / self-

motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.

  • The day to day responsibilities will primarily include;
  • Stakeholder mgt, develop and maintain positive relationships with the stakeholders
  • Work with architect, users, DevOps and vendor teams on roadmap / ecosystem and architectural documents
  • Assist DevOps team supporting the applications, end-user focus support
  • Execute change and release management (Be the face to the customer for changes and projects and execute requirements analysis)
  • Initiate stability and performance improvements
  • Promote a uniform way-of-working, best practices and industry trends
  • Administration of SW development environment tools like Collabnet and Sonatype Nexus
  • Supporting business users on application incidents / changes requested on SW environment applications and infrastructure.
  • SW Development environment applications deployment, upgrades, handling process & workflow customization.
  • Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving problems with the tools configuration.
  • Supporting and executing 3rd party software / product updates and any required integrations.
  • Continually seeking methods to enhance and improve upon SW dev environment applications and configurations.
  • Job Qualifications

    For the position of a business analyst for one of the ALM suits you must have good interpersonal skills to build a good working relationship with our business stakeholders.

    Furthermore, you must have experience with at least 1 ALM suite (Collabnet is a nice o have), software development methodologies and version control systems (Git).

    Experience with IT configuration tools (such as Puppet / Ansible or similar platforms) and IT infrastructure (VMware) is a pre.

    Effective communication skills and fluency in English are a must. Experience in international multi-site teams would be nice.

    Requirements :

  • Degree in Computer Science and relevant work experience of 6 years or more.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and logical skills.
  • Experience in functional and technical application management on Collabnet Team Forge or Sonatype Nexus is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Release Implementation process during life cycle of project.
  • Knowledge with Operating Systems such as UNIX / Linux and Windows.
  • Ability to use performance monitoring tools and able to setup monitors.
  • Java programming knowledge and preferably some experience developing tools plug-ins.
  • Conceptual ITIL Knowledge with understanding on Agile / scrum methodology
  • Used to working in an international environment
  • Knowledge of or experience with Orchestration Engines and Automation Workflows is a pre
  • Experience with build configuration tools
  • Support experience in complex technical environments
  • Strong knowledge in Scripting (Bash, Shell, Python and / or PowerShell)
