Major Responsibilities :

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to work closely with industry experts, subject matter experts and other data scientists to solve complex problems around consumer behaviour, unearthing consumer preferences and optimising across recommended systems.

What you will do

  • Translate business requirements to data science problems and produce complex, actionable quantitative models and predictive / prescriptive analyses to address the challenges revolving around consumer choice, engagement and overall marketing effectiveness
  • Define performance metrics and conduct experiments to improve upon a set of algorithms underlying our platform driving high-level performance to leading enterprises
  • Act as a mentor for junior data scientists and provide them with hands-on technical guidance to challenging data science problems
  • Work closely with engineers and product managers to deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Some of the data scientists will be required to work hand-in-hand with business leaders / visionary CEOs from our client-base.

    • Travel may be required.

    Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of working experience with 4 years focusing on advanced data science work including machine learning or statistical modeling.
  • Master / PhD in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Computational Social Science or other technical field.
  • Ability to approach data science problems in a methodical and structured manner, prototype algorithms and demonstrate gains on real data.
  • Significant programming experience in data science friendly languages like Python, R or Scala
  • Proficiency in recommendation systems or NLP required
  • Good working knowledge of packages like NumPy, Pandas etc.
  • Exposure to ML and deep learning library such as CNTK, Tensor flow, MxNet, Caffe or OpenCV
  • Experience handling massive data sets and expertise in big data technologies - Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, as well as GIS / Maps data
  • Excellent communication skills - can articulate experiment goals and methodologies clearly and communicate insights in an easily accessible way to the team as well as senior management.
  • Excellent project management skills- ability to drive rapid execution without losing quality.
