What (job purpose i.e. why the job exists)
The general mission of a Technical Consultant (Build) position is to provide high quality customer infrastructure implementation support to our customers on an ongoing and re-occurring basis.
The Technical Consultant (Build) will report directly to the manager of the Solution Deployment Team Manager. As part of a cross-functional implementation team, the Build engineer will be required to deploy core technical components of our solutions across our customer base and will be involved through all phases of a projects staging and implementation lifecycle to ensure sustainability and readiness for customer production usage.
Key areas of Responsibility
o Participate in Change Management functions related to creating, reviewing and approving Change Request documents to ensure activities are performed following standards.
o Perform post-change review sessions; analyze pre, post, and future changes for projects / improvements / compliance.
o Openly collaboration with team members, other cross-functional teams, and / or customers to complete assigned projects.
o Able to report project progress various reporting tools like Excel or PowerPoint to management.
o Perform post-change review sessions; analyze post- future changes for projects / improvements / compliance.
o Act as the primary build resources for implementation projects. Review project build requirements and build the solution required following the deployment guidelines.
Act as advisor to the field / customer as the build resource to answer advanced build and system questions, develop methodology to determine solution sizing and identify pre-determined inputs to be used, and establish design for config sheet.
o Able to independently initiate and lead projects as assigned and complete them within the timeline provided.
o If need candidate must be able to have open collaboration with team members, other cross functional teams, and / or customers to complete assigned project.
Able to report progress of work to your manager on a re-occurring basis.
Able to report project progress various reporting tools like Excel or PowerPoint to management.
Able to log work time and assignments within the designated timeframe. I.E. timecards, Salesforce, excel, etc.
