Team and Position Summary :

U.S. Technology : This business closely partners with our U.S. stores and eCommerce business to serve customers by empowering associates, stores and merchants with technology innovation.

rom grocery and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. provides the deep assortment that our customers appreciate whether they're shopping online at Walmart.

com, through one of our mobile apps or shopping in a store. The focus areas include customer, stores and associates, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science and search & personalization.

Our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of large-scale orchestration system operating high scale.

We interact with multiple teams across the company to provide scalable robust technical solutions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication skills with a keen sense of customer service.
  • Independently own and address and resolve applications issues, provide updates and perform root cause analysis.
  • Plan, execute and implement applications and configuration change procedures.
  • Maintain, Supervise & complement all alerts related to application and system procedures and provide services proactively.
  • Maintain good professional relationships with counterparts of engineering, platform support and end Users etc.
  • Gain and maintain expertise in flow of application process and systems related to domain.
  • Coordinate across teams and resolve all complex application and system issues ranging in complexity (Low to Critical)
  • Install and prepare tools required for proper functioning of applications on regular basis.
  • Coordinate with departments and administer code & infra migrations in various environments and production outputs.
  • Manage all production system and recommend ways to optimise performance, provide solution to problems and prepare reports for all problems.
  • Follow standards and best practises to bring operational efficiencies, stability and availability of the system.
  • Comprehend various metrics on operational dashboards and reports and take corrective actions
  • Detect and analyze monitoring graphs and alerts to identify systems causing production impacts with various tools like Grafana, Prometheus, MMS, Kibana, Graphite, Service Now, JIRA, Dynatrace, New Relic, Omniture, Splunk, and CDN logs Reduce MTTD Mean Time to Detect
  • Design, develop, and support automated event driven engagement solutions for cross-functional teams using various programming languages like Java, JavaScript (React, Node JS), Python and Shell programming technologies like Prometheus, Database Query languages for infrastructure availability issues
  • Position Requirements :

    Minimum qualifications :

  • B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in software application support / development / devops.
  • Good working and hands on experience in production support and log analysis tools.
  • Hands on experience in scripting : Ansible / Bash / JavaScript / Perl / Python / Ruby.
  • Additional Qualifications :

  • Decent exposure to cloud infrastructure such as OpenStack, Azure, GCP or AWS.
  • Hands on experience on CI / CD development environments / tools : Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes etc
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly, willingness to learn new and emerging technologies.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
