The Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) team is looking for a proactive key member who will have a key role in its development and maintenance.

You will be part of a team that is developing and managing Nokia’s data as a service platform. This is a hands-on technical role in a dynamic agile environment, working directly with developers, architects, test engineers, product management and internal customers.

We’re looking for a person to support our delivery team of Data Engineers, in all aspects related to cloud infrastructure and networking.

What you will learn and contribute to

  • Collaborate with the EDP Delivery Team and key stakeholders to analyze demands and support their implementation from a network & infrastructure point of view
  • Design, implement and support the network & infrastructure solutions to ensure our ETL / ELT pipelines are stable and capable to withstand increases in data volume and complexity
  • Work alongside the EDP Data Engineers to monitor performance of data pipelines and consuming systems throughput, troubleshoot incidents and provide support to end-users
  • Monitor and improve security in Brownfield resource groups, through the implementation of Private Network Endpoints or other cloud networking solutions
  • Liaise with network, firewall and public cloud IT teams for connectivity and infrastructure-related issues
  • Improve our DEV SEC OPS with Infrastructure-as-code best practices, ensuring our cloud resource deployments are tested, versioned, documented and compliant
  • Liaise with cyber-security and compliance teams for aspects related to our cloud infrastructure practices
  • Your required skills and experience

  • Solid knowledge and proven experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, namely resource deployment, networking and security.
  • Knowledge with Azure Runbooks or PowerShell scripting, Azure administration, Azure Backup, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ARM template based deployments.
  • Knowledgeable in Azure Networking concepts like Private / Public Endpoints, Private Links, Service endpoints, Hub and Spoke networking architectures, hybrid cloud based architectures, Express route and VPN connectivity.
  • Well-versed in networking concepts like DNS Servers, Virtual Networks (VNets, Subnets), Network Security Groups (NSGs) etc.

  • Experience with Azure Active Directory, Certificates, Managed Identity, Service Principals, resource governance using RBAC, different encryption types etc.
  • Basic knowledge about Azure Data and Analytics services (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Key Vaults, Log Analytics) would be an advantage
  • Some Experience with Azure DevOps, Git version control or equivalent
  • Has worked in an Agile / Scrum based team
  • Desired skills

  • Minimum 5-year experience in Network & Infrastructure with at least 2 years of experience in Azure Cloud. Relevant Certifications would be a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English
  • Ability to work in and with cross-functional distributed teams, including working across multiple time zones and providing remote support
  • Be an independent self-learner with the let’s get this done approach
