Key Accountabilities :

  • Design, modelling and analyze, mechanical and functional systems and components.
  • Designing sheet metal , piping, cast iron and machined parts and handle complex assemblies.
  • Identify and Implement Design improvements (Functionality, Cost and Design for manufacture)
  • Planning and coordinate the implementation of design change notices, in particular in complex and / or urgent cases
  • Work on Tolerance Stack Analysis, DFMEA, DAV, DVPs
  • Resolved Field Failure issue and Ensure continuous support for assembly line.
  • Produce manufacturing drawings defining the requirements of your solution to enable our product definition group
  • Handle technical changes and new releases in PLM and ERP systems (Wind-chill and SAP or similar, others)
  • Coordinate with Cross functional / Supplier for your design changes, If affected.
  • Create the documentation of work process, Calculation (If any)
  • Produce detailed Design Definition reports, which accurately describe your requirements, your design concepts, how the final concept was selected, requirements, risks and how the design will be verified and validated.
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 6-8 years of experience.
  • Should have strong understanding of mechanical engineering / Manufacturing processes like casting, machining, die and pattern etc.
  • Experience in casting dominant parts like cylinder head, Valve, Valve Support body etc.
  • Experience in working with project management and PLM tools.
  • Knowledge of modern 3D- CAD-systems, preferably Pro Engineer / CREO.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Knowledge of EDM / PLM systems, preferably Windchill.
  • Preparation of data sheet for procured components.
  • Experienced to interpret / validate the test specifications / Results for different diesel engine components.
  • Field experience related to assembly line issues, supplier,
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with manufacturing and assembly of diesel engines.
  • Solution oriented.
