The Senior Engineer - Wintel will be customer focused and motivated by team success. You will be innovative, energetic, and able to adapt to new processes and procedures quickly while dealing with a high volume of tickets.

This is a key technical role with a focus on Wintel platform; your remit will cover all aspects of the delivery of platform support both within Advanced’s infrastructure and its customer’s infrastructure.
Advanced’s platform Services include Incidents, Change and Problem management. Support Major Incidents and Root Cause Analysis documentation.
As well as day to day Infrastructure management duties such as :
Responding to alerts in a prompt manner.
Proactively manage and administer server environment.
Gather data and analyze complex issues, recommending solutions.
Assist with implementation and testing of DR solutions for new and existing customers.
Perform root cause analysis.
Review and implement security recommendations.
Investigate and report security breaches.
Review / Update support documents.
Coordinate and collaborate with other technology group members.
Document best practices and repeatable processes.
Assist team members with technical issues.
Security Senior Engineer Wintel, will be expected to work with multiple clients and support teams in ensuring adherence to company policy as well as contributing to the evolution of standards, enforcement techniques, platform security controls, identify potential threats and weakness.
This includes providing automated processes for patch management and protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our clients’ data and infrastructure.
Compliance ensure compliance to relevant standards (e.g. ISO 27001, 9001) and provision of systems to control, adequately measure and handle the risks the business faces for the Managed Service.
Colleagues The Senior Engineer will support the team members as required and conduct knowledge sharing sessions. This will include improving the overall knowledge of the systems, infrastructure, and processes.
You will provide the required support to ensure that the team delivers outstanding service and meets or exceeds the agreed SLA’s with all customers.
Cooperation & Teamwork - Work closely with our team in UK, support projects resources to on-board new clients through the defined Service Take on process.
Customer satisfaction Customer satisfaction is critical for customer retention. The Senior engineer will work with Technical Leads, service manager and customer aligned Service Delivery Managers to ensure;
adherence to contractual commitments, delivery of services exceeding SLAs, and a positive customer experience.
Wide and in depth of knowledge and experience working with several Windows server and virtualization technologies.
An ability to manage complex and large-scale technical solutions.
Extensive operational experience in deploying and managing Microsoft solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
An ability to deal with sensitive customer issues.
An ability to provide technical input into bid, project, and technical documentation.
An ability to manage time and multi-task effectively.
An existing Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent is preferred.
An existing VMware certification (VCP) or equivalent is preferred.

Demonstrable previous experience of implementing and supporting large-scale IT Infrastructure within a Managed Service Provider environment or large Business.
Strong technical knowledge on Microsoft, VMware & Cloud technology, along with good communication skills, to improve the delivery of services.
Communicating effectively to all stakeholders on a regular basis.
A practical understanding of business requirements, and supporting relevant solutions.
Use resources to best advantage, by collaborative working with all Team members.
Deal positively with change & uncertainty.
To work on Incident, Change, problems and projects initiatives as directed by the Wintel Service Manager or Head of IT Services.
