Within the Global Cash Products (GCP) business, Settlement is a critical function. It consists of products such as OTC, Foreign Exchange, and Money Market.
A typical day would be for an individual to monitor strict currency deadlines to ensure seamless settlement. The individual is required to be an SME, and should be capable to multi task, manage conflicting priorities and swift decision-making.
In our team, you are expected to plan work allocations, maintain relationships with Front Office / Middle Office / Internal-
External Stakeholders, along with focus on KRI / KPIs and motivating change initiatives. The individual should be first point of escalation to the staff and be able to independently trouble shoot problems encountered during settlement cycle.
This will support the function to handle business during any unforeseen situations. Identifying and implementing control, efficiency improvements are key for this role along with people management.
This role is an AVP position in Pune (India) within GCP (Global Cash Products) Settlement Team.
Interested candidate should express a desire to work in any shift. They should have robust experience and knowledge in OTC, FX, and Money Market.
You should have a very strong control and risk mindset and should have minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking.
Primary Responsibilities for the role would include but are not limited to the below :
Build and maintain governance of the functional team
You will be the key point of contact for raised issues for functional managers, internal and external clients
Responsible and accountable for day to day processing e.g. Pre-matching, Fails, Confirmation, Settlements, Break Resolution etc.
Consistently meet KPI / KRI and deliverables
Responsible to handle partner concerns / issues by liaising with the internal & external business partners
Incident management Transparency on control / process failures. Suggest and implement strong remediation action
Communication with Front Office, Trading Personnel and External Clients is a fundamental part of the role.
Active participation in firm-wide strategic initiatives including but not limited to, identify operational improvements and efficiency opportunities in the daily workflow
Lead efficiently a team size of 6-8 staff. Perform team appraisals and provide mentorship on career development
Lead, motivate, and develop teams to create a strong culture and improve the knowledge base, skills, talent and capability
Monitor Supervisory controls on day to day basis
Lead and manage Run the Bank / Change the Bank Change initiatives as well as human capital, attrition, cross training plans etc.
Investment Banking experience in either products such as OTC, FX, Money Market, Securities, Asset Servicing, and Listed Derivatives
Excellent attention to detail, pro-activeness, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, risk / control-focused approach, and positive attitude.
When taking care of internal or external clients your goal is to resolve their issues on priority.
To have effective problem solving and analytical skills and have good leadership skills.
Knowledge on Market practices & regulatory framework.
