SUMMARYIn the ANSYS Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM) team, we help our customers to tame product engineering complexity by synchronizing their people, systems, content and processes.
We seek a hands-on technical manager who will lead the architecture, design, development, maintenance and support of enterprise software solutions in the Computer-
Aided Engineering software application space.RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages moderate to large sized software development projects, usually within an assigned product line.
Ensures that appropriate development and corporate methods and procedures are followed. Ensures projects are completed according to product specifications and are properly documented.
Reviews architecture designs and technology selections to ensure appropriateness for current requirements as well as extensibility for future needs.
Facilitates communication upward, outward and within project team including project status and technical information (architecture, design, and implementation objectives).
Manages personnel activities of staff. Mentors and motivates team members.
Participates in staff recruitment, development and education, including product, technical and industry knowledge development, as well as "soft" skills improvements.
Other duties as assigned, and as needed to deliver on project goals.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field from a reputed university. For those with bachelor'
s degree, 12 years of software industry experience is required. For those with Master's, 10 years of experience is required.
Professional experience in a role as a software development manager is required.
Excellent ability to manage a team of software professionals and to mentor their career growth, with excellent coaching skills and ability to motivate.
Proven and effective experience in building enterprise software products and leading full stack enterprise software development projects.
In-depth experience in requirements elaboration, research and analysis, project planning, UX design, and quality assurance.
Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed organization.
Must be able to travel to France and the United States of America.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in engineering-related software domains like PLM, PDM, CAD, CAE and EDA is a strong plus.
