Roles and Responsibilities :
The Sabre Hotels engineering team is rapidly expanding and we are seeking a CTR Contributor Software Developer to join our team.
Successful candidate will be working on Enterprise Data Migrations and Customer enablement for Sabres customers onto its flagship product for Property Management (PMS V4)
The role will require working closely with geographically dispersed teams across the world and needs strong techno-functional skills in a fast paced, challenging environment.
The successful candidate must have strong end to end hands on experience in Data Migration across all stages of ETL. They should understands all parts of the software data migration design, development , deployment ,documentation & testing.
The candidate should to be able to work effectively on complex discussions across teams, working with technical and non-
technical users, including software and quality engineers, product managers, marketing and support teams with minimal supervision.
Must Have Skills :
Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in Data Migration across all phases (ETL).
Strong experience in development of optimized workflows, transformations, data mappings .
Hands on experience in data upload, error analysis, conversions, reporting and business process analysis.
Experience in working through all steps of various SDLC like waterfall and agile delivering data migration service to production for customers.
Proficient in different databases like Oracle, My SQL, Teradata, MariaDB.
Proficient in PentaHo.
A record of successful delivery of data migration as an individual contributor.
Strong time management skills, and problem solving skills
Ability to work in an onsite-offshore model with globally distributed teams and clients.
Experience developing and executing the data migration for high-performance, high-availability, web-based solutions in a startup like environment.
Ability to identify, provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues when needed to drive solutions.
Experience with databases, open source, Java and JEE technologies
Understanding of databases and challenges with movement of large volume data migrations.
Ability to recognize risks to delivery and suggest mitigations to Leadership team
Desired Skills :
Familiarity with standard technologies like Web Services, REST and JSON
Experience with Spring framework and open source data tools like Talend, Apache Spark or Apache Nifi.
Understanding of relational databases and large volume data migrations.
Knowledge of AWS technologies.
Experience in working in highly distributed collaborative teams.
Experience with Scrum methodology and Agile practices
Points to be noted :
Sabre is looking for resources who can join within 30 days in Bangalore.
Resource should be proficient in PentaHo and must worked in data migration projects.
Proficient in Oracle and MariaDB.
If resource is not available in PentaHo, Sabre is ok with Informatica resources with other required skills but resource should be willing to learn PentaHo.
