Job Description

We are looking to bring onboard an Vice-President to join our Data Change Governance & Management (DCGM) team, a new function that will own and drive the extensive change agenda supporting Wholesale Credit Risk (and eventually Market Risk).

This individual will report into the Data Change Governance & Management Lead. The goal of the function is to minimize operational and financial risk to the business through the existing and future change agenda initiatives in addition to increasing transparency, our ability to proactively manage upstream data change management requests in a way that avoids surprises and change management issues.

The team will be responsible for program implementation, Business Requirement documentation, client impact analysis and regression testing.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, team player and a leader with the ability to bring people together and face off to colleagues at all levels of the organization.

They will be enthusiastic, inquisitive and keen to absorb new skills. Experience in a project management role is beneficial though not required.

Position Requirements

  • Confident leader with good judgment, maturity, and poise to enable interaction / influencing of senior management
  • Proficient / previous experience leading the definition, implementation and executing change operating model
  • Knowledge in various asset classes covering TCP, Derivatives and Securities
  • Have a collaborative style, be flexible, be a team player and have an ability to partner with other team members across global time zones on team deliverables.
  • Effective and confident communicator in order to deal with a diverse range of employees and clients and be able to succeed in a demanding and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at many levels of the organization including synthesizing key messages for senior management
  • Highly articulate, motivated, very flexible and will use their initiative to fully develop the role.
  • Highly energetic self-starter with a focus on obtaining results
  • Experience running large working groups with demonstrated success at achieving results and keeping meetings on track
  • Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and quickly adjust to changing priorities
  • Capability to work both independently with strong follow through and adapt to team environment
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of products (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Subject Matter Expertise across Credit and / or Market Risk is a plus
  • Responsibilities

  • Develop repeatable strategy and streamlined process for seamless execution of change requests
  • Provide hands-on program management and manage priorities through planning and effective communication including : articulating status and big picture to the project team and stakeholders, proactively identifying risk and managing escalations;
  • Monitor change progress, provide regular status updates to management, develop polished presentations and materials
  • Analyze changes coming through JIRA’s and improve impact assessment by collecting feedback from stakeholders and partnering with Finance team through retrospectives
  • Challenge project managers to provide quality assurance over inputs and governance artefacts produced by the programmes
  • Provide oversight of the release plan inclusive of project or release scope, critical milestones, sourcing requirements, test strategy and execution and implementation checklists and stakeholder / technology activities
  • Create high quality materials to support the DCGM Lead in providing regular updates to the Change Management Forum and other senior leaders to facilitate fact-based decision making
  • Day to day management oversight and accountability of change initiatives
  • Help define and maintain control metrics for monthly reviews
  • Project implementation runbooks and stakeholder sign off
  • Optional qualifications

  • PMP, Six Sigma, Agile or other formal project management discipline a plus
  • Working knowledge of an industry recognized Project Management methodology
  • Experience in data visualization software including Tableau or QlikView a plus
