Job Description

The role owner is responsible for the country requisition-to-purchase order process consumables and critical spare parts which are not managed via SAP-SRM.

The associate ensures the timely supply of spares within the defined framework of the procurement category strategy and business requirements.

In alignment with category team master data like info-records, source lists etc. will be kept up-to-date. A very strong focus on customer service and end user satisfaction is required to handle transactions (Purchase Orders) which can’t be automated.

He / she will act as a support agent to the business to process all purchase orders for consummates and spare parts. Furthermore he / she will drive standardizing and automatization in close collaboration with the Operations and the Category Procurement team.

  • Responsible for executing defined Category / Divisional / Regional / Country strategic and non-strategic projects for a site / country.
  • Responsible for challenging and validating demand for all requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring negotiated contracts are reflected in transactional procurement system, i.e. SAP-MM
  • Responsible for ensuring implementation of catalogs from Category / Divisional / Country projects and monitor usage of catalogs
  • Responsible for ensuring level supplier issues related to Purchase orders are addressed and resolved on a timely manner
  • Accountable for proactively escalating any known risks or issues to the Business Partner / Global / Regional Category Team and / or local management to ensure required support for resolution
  • Responsible for the operational buying activities of consumables & critical spare parts,
  • Manage open purchase orders, overdue purchase orders and order confirmations
  • Deliver input for supplier evaluation / performance meetings
  • Support in projects to implement procurement category plans
  • Invoice verification / alignment with finance department

  • Minimum requirements

    What you’ll bring to the role :

    Bachelor’s degree (or similar education) in fields such as business administration, finance, engineering, scientific or technical fields.

    CIPS or similar qualification desirable English

    Minimum 1-2 years in similar or equivalent positions in a global / regional environment in an equivalent position
