About Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation :

The Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation (KSCF), set up by Nobel Peace Laureate, Mr. Kailash Satyarthi, is a global thought leader for prevention of exploitation and violence against children.

KSCF works for the creation of a child-friendly world through direct interventions and programmes, research and capacity building, and campaigns for the mobilization of mass support and behaviour change.

Mr. Satyarthi’s lessons learned guide the Foundation’s work to engage children and youth as part of the solution, build greater collaboration between governments, business and communities, ensure effective national and international laws, scale know-how and successful practice and create partnerships with key stakeholders.


As Community Social Worker, you are the drive behind the organisation’s child friendly village programme. In your position, you are responsible to implement the programme in the identified project villages through engaging with children, women, young people and the wider community.

S / he will be also responsible for ensuring every child in school and 100% retention of the children in the school with quality education.

Ensuring Pro-active participation of the children in the village activities that makes them to become the change maker of the future.

3. Responsibilities / Accountabilities :


Overall Responsibilities :

o Develop monthly action plans for your respective Schools in consultation with the school, community and your supervisor.

o Create and support formation and functioning of Parents groups, children group in your respective school location

o Support community groups in developing their capacity to engage with local administrator.

o Maintain relationship with all families of children belonging to school

o Prepare a monthly report in a prescribed format and in accordance with the action plan

o Maintain a file of your achievements, with relevant details, in your respective villages.

Programme :

o Ensuring 100% of retention of children in school and children follow all COVID 19 precautions. .

o Educate the communities from where the children are going to schooland ensure they are well prepared for precautionary mechanism and prevention of infections.

o Carrying out regular meetings in a month with Community members as per the requirements projects and other stakeholder groups and submit report of the same to central office.

o Ensure SMCs are fully functional in all schools of your location and facilitate teachers training in coordination with the central office team.

o Identification of children in communities and grooming them as child leaders. Formation of POCSO committees, Corona Warrior Committeesin Schools

o Organising training / Capacity building activities for community member, youth group / women groups / Parents / teachers and other stakeholders as per the project requirements and in line with the monthly / quarterly plan of action.


o Develop monthly action plans for respective villages in consultation with the villages community and supervisor and submit it before 30th of every month

o Prepare detail activities plan with budget required on a monthly basis by end of each month and submit to your supervisor before 30th of every month.

o Prepare and submit monthly report in accordance with the action plan also indicating challenges faced and achieved outcomes by 25th of every month to the supervisor.

o Maintain daily diary of all activities and send the copy of the same to the supervisor at the end of every month.

o Organising and active participation in Bal Panchayat Election and other related activities.

Networking and advocacy

o Develop and maintain relationships with officials of Education Department, non-government organization as well as with the media in your area.

Administration and finance

o Collect and Collate all bills after an activity is over and hand over them to your supervisor

o Minimum budgeting skills on a monthly basis

o Manage the resources allocated effectively and be accountable for the resources utilised for the programme activity.

Any other works as assigned by the supervisor / organisation.

4. Competency for the Role :

o Understanding of children issues, child rights and development issues at grass roots

o Functional Knowledge Demonstrate a strong awareness and knowledge in relation to KSCF’s areas of function and specifically BMG program

o Persuasive Skill- Ability to develop and manage relationships with Community people and children and other stakeholders.

o Negotiation skills with village level administration to promote Child Friendly Villages in line with KSCF’s Vision and Mission.

o Ability to handle pressure.

o Must be able to multi-task, Self-driven and results oriented

Other Requirements :

Minimum qualification : Matriculation or above

Experience : 0-2 years
