Cloud Ops provides hosting, operations, security, and architectural support to Adobe’s growing suite of cloud-based products.
In order for Adobe to provide compelling products to its customers, Adobe has a need to design, implement and maintain highly-
available and responsive cloud infrastructures. Adobe requires a dynamic DevOps Engineer with Application Administration skills.
He / She should be capable of delivering a 24*7 available and reliable Application environment and will be responsible for a variety of technical, operational, and consultative activities, including system administration and release engineering tasks for all the Adobe products in cloud.
It is critically important to the company that the applications and database systems offer the highest levels of reliability and performance.
What you’ll do
Candidate will be serving as the primary point of contact for advanced level troubleshooting issues, and perform hands-on Systems / Applications administration as required.
Candidate will automate regular administrative work with other support teams and ensures they are functioning correctly.
Candidate will write documentation, including data standards, procedures, and data dictionary definitions.
Candidate will work with Systems and Development teams on designs and perform on-call support by providing responses to high priority requests for assistance by Operations teams and provide after hours and weekend support as needed.
The candidate will work with application developers to evolve the applications architecture and design and will participate in the creation and refinement of staging & production application instances.
What you need to succeed
5 or more years of working experience of DevOps experience on Production Environment, Supporting complex, highly available applications.
Working experience in AWS or Azure cloud stack. Preferable to have automation skills around Cloud Formation Templates (CFN) or ARM templates.
Support and maintain the global application production environment with focus on continuous automation.
Maintain production monitoring systems.
Troubleshoot performance and stability issues.
Candidate should have a good understanding of the Operating System concepts, mainly Linux.
Familiarity to DevOps methodologies and flair for building / exploring tools.
Respond to on-call (24 / 7 rotating shifts) incidents and be available for inquiries from staff, management and vendors.
Provide technical assistance and support.
Working experience on Docker, Git.
Experience with orchestration tools, ex. Apache Mesos / Kubernetes
Previous experience automating build and release processes
Hands on scripting experience in any of these python, ruby, perl, any other.
Experience setting up monitoring / logging systems and tools like Zabbix, NewRelic, Splunk, Sumologic
Familiarity with configuration management tools like Chef.
Sound OS concepts
Experience in build and release process, tools like Jenkins.
A go getter who is capable of working with little to no guidance when it comes to DevOps.
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Rapidly picks up new techniques, technologies, and concepts.
