Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Primary Scope : Provide leadership, management, and development for all aspects of the Site Production Scheduling to achieve optimal allocation of resources, operations and processes for the manufacture of TE’s products / finished goods.

Production schedulers determine and set daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing schedules

Develop Production Schedules

  • Ensure timely and effective scheduling using SAP (MM& PP) on a Daily, Weekly and Monthly scale based on Plans provided by Planning team
  • Validate Schedule with Planning and Production for Quantity, Delivery dates, Equipment and Manpower availability
  • Conversion of firmed planned orders into process orders
  • analyze, locate and perform the most economical and enhanced sequence of operations in the production process (addressing bottlenecks or late orders)
  • Organize material transfers to the production building
  • Participate in the creation of the production file
  • Data management for the Process orders
  • Manage time and effectively force production deadlines when necessary.
  • Modify Production Schedules

  • Modify the Production schedules for the Day, Week and Month depending on feedback from the Planning team and Production team
  • Accommodate the adjustments based on changing conditions within the manufacturing pipeline e.g. Process shift due to Equipment breakdown
  • Ensure that the SAP is updated with the latest Schedule via Process Orders e.g. Start / Finish date, Target quantity etc.
  • Strong Cross functional Collaboration with internal and external customer focus
  • Managing Production Resources

  • Monitor production process, workflow, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery
  • Ensure that materials and equipment are pre-arranged for production
  • Efficiently assign production to minimize company costs and meet delivery deadlines
  • Resolve production, manpower and material shortage problems quickly in an order of priority
  • Enhance Internal Processes

  • The production scheduler identifies opportunities to improve the manufacturing or production process through more effective schedule management
  • Review production specifications, identify, and report plant capacity constraints
  • Work with the manager to execute and implement process improvements
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and finance teams to develop and maintain scheduling parameters
  • Prepare Production Reports

  • Prepare reports outlining production activities and effectiveness. These reports typically compare expected production levels to actual output, identify areas for improvement, and propose changes to internal processes to enhance production efficiency and support effective manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and achieve the Target production Schedule Adherence (PSA)% on weekly and Monthly basis
  • Conduct RCA for the PSA% KPI and identify areas of improvement for Planning and Production
  • Maintain article data in SAP (MM and PP) and related tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Identify erroneous data and inform those responsible (Chemists, GPLM-Site, Purchasing, EHS)
  • EHS & Compliance : Champion EHS and Compliance programs . Ensure EHS global and local standards are maintained. Engage the workforce in the promotion and achievement of EHS standards and practices, safety culture and mindset.

    Organization Capability : Develop and maintain an effective plan to achieve a high-performance Operations Performance team, implements policies to ensure adequate acquisition of talents, management development and succession plans.

    KEY REQUIREMENTS : Education :

    Education :

  • Degree in Sciences B.Sc / MSc / Business Management or related field. Certification / work experience in business statistics, quantitative measurement methodology, an added advantage
  • Experience :

  • 6 8 years’ experience in manufacturing, supply chain management or a related field
  • Preferably from a multi-national organization
  • Know-how / skills :

  • Strong knowledge of chemical production / applications and manufacturing
  • Good knowledge of SAP Scheduling / Planning software
  • Strong quantitative measurement and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
