We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role AVP Finance Operations.

Principal responsibilities :

  • Independently manage requirements gathering, translation and management throughout the project life cycle.
  • Use systematic thinking and creativity to support development of solution options.
  • Ensure successful end-to-end and timely implementation of regulatory and non-regulatory commitments.
  • Support group team to evaluate relative costs, benefits and obstacles of potential solutions before implementing.
  • Understand business and Finance priorities, drivers and challenges and how own project fits in.
  • Work closely with senior business stakeholders (FinOps, HOST IT, Group Treasury, MOT POD, QRM POD Site IT, FTP etc.) and understand their objective, priorities and challenges.
  • Build effective working relationships within own team and with other colleagues.
  • Mentor new or less experienced team members
  • Understand own stakeholders' objectives, direction, priorities and challenges, managing and addressing concerns and objections.
  • Strives to deliver outstanding service and customer advocacy.
  • Influence and collaborate with own stakeholders, to build consensus and shape change outcomes.
  • Requirements

  • PQE for 10-12 years and been part of significant change initiatives preferably in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of IRRBB and relevant regulatory changes in a global environment preferable
  • Strong understanding of SQL, MS ACCESS, VBA, Python, Pentaho, Xceptor and any other programming language / tool is a must
  • Basic knowledge of financial products (specifically Retail, GB&M and IRR) and how they impact finance operations and more generically the banking business
  • Ability to work with little supervision, proactive, with drive and energy
  • Team player able to manage conflict and conflicting priorities
  • Attention to detail and desire and ability to see a task through to the end
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (both written and oral)
  • Good leader. Must lead by example for the team.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
  • Desire and commitment to make a difference.
  • Willingness to test own understanding through effective questioning techniques and to be persistent in questioning where necessary
  • Ability to understand the detail but also appreciate the big picture
  • Delivery focused, and able to prioritize own work and meet and manage deadlines
