As a Global Learning & Development (GL&D) Manager at Micron, you will be responsible for the management and development of direct reports to enable superior L&D solution design and implementation.
Reporting to the Director, GL&D Asia, you will be responsible for managing and improving L&D performance by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build and execute service strategies aligned to corporate strategic objectives.
You will assist with improving individual capability by conducting performance appraisals with team members to create goals and development plans.
You will monitor performance metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities. Other responsibilities include ensuring organizational compliance to company policies and regulations, as well as to departmental procedures, and providing organizational leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active participation in functional teams and projects, as well as mentoring other functional leaders through collaboration and the development of sustainably successful solutions.
Responsibilities and Tasks :
Manage L&D Delivery :
Partner to establish processes and methods for global and regional design and facilitation with the Global L&D team
Implement and execute the global learning and development priority / programs in India
Participate and contribute to corporate learning programs (e.g. content design / focus group discussion etc.)
Design / implement site specific learning solutions based on business needs
Key connection between regional business needs and global L&D group, keep effective communication for feedback or new program updates for both side
Assist in the troubleshooting of escalated issues and provide coaching for resolution
Learning system management for enterprise level
Manage learning process / policy improvement
Manage GLD performance metrics
Manage internal budget
Manage internal audit (learning and development related)
Build an effective team :
Manage team performance, build high performance team to provide GLD solutions to business
Prioritize work, remove barriers, and drive for accountability for the whole team
Manage team staffing / working allocation and succession (e.g. provide communication regarding job expectations and changes, coach and provide career development guidance, conduct team performance appraisal etc.)
Provide line of sight to strategic objectives, build high performance climate
Partner with Site leaders and HRBPs to provide consultancy and coming up with holistic solutions to meet site needs
Partner with regional and global teams to come up with global and local learning solutions
Ensure a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment
Maintain knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policies
Communicate requirements to applicable team members and external stakeholders
Oversee execution of mandatory training for direct reports
Identify and resolve and / or report potential safety, security, and labor issues
Master’s Degree in a related field.
At least 5 years of managerial experience in learning and development
Eloquent in English with experience in Adult Learning, facilitation, instructional design and learning advisory for senior leaders
Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, possess initiative and ability to work independently
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
