Tata AIG General Insurance Ltd has a requirement for Data Service Lead with experience on the technologies like DAS, SOAP, Rest API and Microservices.

Candidates must have hands on expertise on creating APIs, understanding of Insurance KPIs and End Points.

Day to day responsibility would involve working closely with Data architect, Application owner and analysts in understanding various data service requirement, accessibility and creation and managing of Governance layer and working with ESB team for service orchestration.

Specific knowledge of the area :

  • Data as Service
  • Implementation knowledge of SOAP, Rest API and Microservices
  • Building Abstraction layer between Data store and Services
  • Ability to build process which support proper Governance and accessibility of each attributes with proper roles and rights
  • Ensuring re-usability of services and avoid redundancy
  • Full life cycle software development experience
  • Business Understanding :

  • Knowledge of General Insurance Industry
  • Competencies :

  • At least 5 years full life cycle software development experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in building API either SOAP or Rest based.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
  • Desire and ability to clearly communicate with colleagues at all levels
  • Significant experience in reporting and analytical tools
  • Business Analyst experience preferred but not required.
  • Able to successfully complete tasks with limited supervision
  • Primary Responsibilities :

    Management :

  • Show excellence in reporting and vendor liaison.
  • Enforce Governance Plan.
  • Ongoing research into the technology to stay up to date with trends and best practices.
  • Communication :

  • Liaise with IT on future strategy of platform, upgrades, etc. and communicate to team.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts in the team.
  • Facilitate client and team meetings.
  • Build, develop and grow business relationships.
  • Good in communication skills.
  • Projects :

  • Define and develop project scope, goals and deliverable
  • Write business case and obtain approval.
  • Develop and maintain project plan.
  • Oversee quality control throughout project life-cycle
  • Other aspects of this position :

  • Need to be able to work under pressure.
  • Need to stay very current with industry best practices and trends at all times.
  • The ability to communicate well is essential for effectively managing the Projects.
