Responsibilities

Role / Job Summary Bigdata Hadoop Administrator (L3 Level)

Years of Experience Max of 8 Years (At least 4 years of relevant experience)

Qualification / Certification HDP (Hortonworks) Certified Administrator is preferred

Key Responsibilities

1. Dedicated Hadoop Administrator to assist with Technical Guidance & Architecture on Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) and Hortonworks Data Flow (HDF)

2. Contribution for HDP / HDF Cluster Planning, Architecture Design, Review, Validation & Performance Optimization as required

3. Contribution for HDP Security implementation with Kerberos, Knox, Ranger, KMS, etc.

4. Supporting team on Data Ingestion into existing HDP using HDF and other HDP components (Kafka, Storm, Spark, etc.)

5. Supporting team on Data Governance and Data Quality using HDP Components and Integration

6. Application Deployment, Data Ingestion, Data Storage & Data Access Authorization (Sqoop, PIG, Hive, HBase, etc.)

7. HDP / HDF Platform Administration and monitoring (Ganglia, Nagios, Splunk Dashboards etc) recommendations & implementation

8. Ensuring Availability and Reliability of Data & Analytics Systems

9. Assistance on Cluster Upgrade and Versioning; best practices (Rolling & Express Upgrades)

10. Disaster Recovery : Associated Architecture; Data Replication; RTO / RPO

11. Need to work with Customer’s functional teams for Hadoop design best practices as required

12. Contribute to new Product validation, implementation & Knowledge Transfer (KT)

Profile Required

  • Installation and maintenance of database server (Primarily Oracle)
  • Work closely with different development teams to understand database requirements and provide support
  • Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system
  • Monitoring & responding the database systems incidents to ensure secure production services to business
  • Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
  • Responsible for implementation and release of database changes, as submitted by the development team
  • Support for Development environments Refresh of UAT / Staging / pre-prod environments
  • Database troubleshooting and problem root cause analysis
  • Experience in performance monitoring, reporting and tuning of Oracle databases
  • Work with infrastructure team (co-ordinate with application support team) to ensure that the associated hardware resources are allocated to the database to ensure high availability and optimum performance
  • Experience with RDBMS admininstration ( Oracle or MS SQL or UDB DB2 or Informix )

  • Knowledge of RMAN, Sql loader & Data Pump.
  • Knowledge of RAC, Datagaurd
  • Understanding of Performanc tunning
  • Understanding of Change management
  • Knowledge of migrations
  • Must have Trouble shooting skills
  • Knowledge of SCOM, AWR
  • Experience with shell scripting, power shell
  • Working experience in banking domain.
  • Good in RDBMS architecture concepts
  • Space management, Undo Management, User management
  • Partitioning of tables
  • Experience in database patching, up-gradation.
  • Experience in migrating of database.
  • Managing Redo log and Archive log files
  • Working experience in RMAN, Sql loader & Data Pump
  • Backup and recovery methods
  • Logical backup and recovery using data pump , export / import
  • Net configuration (listener and tnsnames)
  • Trouble shooting database issues
  • Strong experience SQL and PL / SQL knowledge
  • Shell scripting kshell, Born & c shell.
  • Performance tuning using AWR and Stats pack.
  • Oracle RAC experience
  • Oracle Data Guard experience"
