Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)
This position is responsible to ensure safe and efficient management of the plant Raw Material and Finished Products in Stores.
This position is responsible for ensuring accurate recording and storage of inventory and ensuring optimal inventory quantities in consultation with Operations which are in line with the guidelines prescribed and to proactively address obsolete and slow-moving inventory.

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
RM and FG Stores Operations
Monitor all Raw Material and Finished Goods operations for the plant to ensure that the material receipt and storage is in line with set processes and standards
Coordinate activities and follow up with the central purchase team to ensure material availability for the plant
Ensure Advance Dispatch planning
Ensure Turnaround time of all vehicles
Ensure availability of materials to avoid stoppage.
Proactively track key items to ensure timely replenishments
Ensure minimal losses due to poor upkeep of materials
Ensure good housekeeping so that material receipt, handling, storing and issue can be done adequately
Ensure cleanliness, safety and security at the RM Stores
Anchor all internal (5S, EHS, Quality Audit) and external audits (OEM, Quality) etc.
Planning and Documentation :
Export Planning & Execution :
Monthly Export Planning.
Confirmation from Customer.
Co-ordination with CHA for container availability.
Follow-up with CHA for B / L.
Documentation and MIS
Review and check documentation for all dispatch of material or final goods
Ensure that team is recording accurate information on SAP
Daily GRN / verification, creation of Dispatch Orders & Excise Invoices, Rejection Delivery Orders and Rejection Excise Invoice
Perpetual Inventory, Monthly Inventory, Physical Stock Verification
Verify and validate the reports generated by the team and keep the entire plant team informed through a departmental MIS
Monitor and account for the inventory of raw materials and final goods, and ensure reconciliation with SAP figures and actual stock audit
Ensure accuracy of material disbursement for production, with proper documentation and tracking
Ensure stock is issued in the correct sequence, that is, first in first out to Production
Highlight stock accumulation, discrepancies and abnormal consumption if any to Purchase and Production
Minimize obsolete, surplus and scrap material through proper monitoring
Coordinate for disposing of scrap with the central team
Manage the Opex budget for the RMS & FG stores department at the plant and monitor expenditure to ensure compliance to the budget
Ensure that adequate manpower is being utilized as per approved standards for store operations and look for opportunities to reduce on manpower cost
Identify areas for cost saving and recommend action plan to achieve the saving
Health & Safety
Ensure safety measures are consistently followed and take initiative to enhance acceptance of safety as a culture to achieve zero accident level
Train employees on correct methods of handling the material handling machinery and equipment to reduce accidents
Report any incident to the Safety team immediately and ensure that appropriate diagnosis of the situations is carried out
Front-leading the store’s operational activities right from setting up the new floors
Resolve day to day worker grievance / worker issues and ensure that the work environment is productive and peaceful
Ensure staff is motivated so that the work can be completed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
Maintain good working relations with the unions, workmen and other contract staff
Set targets for the team, and monitor their performance against the targets & provide regular and ongoing feedback for team
Identify the training needs for the department employees and ensure provisioning of the training to the team in liaison with HR
Education and Experience Required
Post Graduate from premium B School with Material & Logistics management
6 - 10 years of experience in similar function that of Stores (FPS RMS)
