Specialism Prime Brokerage Foreign Exchange (PBFX) (FX confirmations, FX Middle office support and FX Settlements)

As part of our PB FX team, you will be working with our client partners to improve processes and controls that build capacity and scale.

Your role in the PB FX Operations team will emphasize Foreign Exchange Settlements & Confirmation, managing middle / back-office operations for Investment Banks and Swift Messages.

Help us in the smooth functioning of the moving products in the FX team and also independently handle all client escalations and lead mitigation steps to prevent future escalations.

The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, with an ability to listen and comprehend information and share it with all the key stakeholders, highlighting opportunities for improvement and concerns, if any.

He / she must be able to work collaboratively with teams to execute tasks within defined timeframes while maintaining high-quality standards and superior service levels.

The ability to take proactive actions and willingness to take up responsibility beyond the assigned work area is a plus.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong business understanding of the finance industry with a special focus on Collateral Management, Prime Brokerage, Foreign Exchange, settlements, Swift messages and FO / MO.

He / she should be good with numbers and ability to derive information from data with excellent multi-tasking and creative problem-solving.

He / she should have strong capabilities in PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel and should be able to build domain expertise and lead from the front with the ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and work as part of the team.

Senior Analyst - Prime Brokerage- Foreign Exchange (PB FX) Responsibilities

Ensuring timely settlement of all FX trades

Liaise with clients for a mismatch on settlement instructions and agreeing the correct settlement method ( net or gross) based on client need

Liaise with credit officers to ensure the settlement limits on a client are not breaching

Liaise with traders and middle office personnel for trade and settlement related discrepancies

Agree on netting figures with clients over phone and email, for NDF and non NDF ccys'

Act as a point of contact for the Nostro reconciliation teams to resolve Nostro breaks

Monitor work being performed by new joiners in the team. Train and coach new members of the team

Look for opportunities to improve the workflow in the settlements process

Checking with Client Service Officer and traders regarding any discrepancies in confirmations and escalating to next level of management regarding any client issues.

Coordination with Front office, Middle, Back office and various IT departments for issues which are raised and to fix up the errors.

Updating the standard operating procedure regularly based on the changes in the procedures which are followed assisted the team in learning and understanding the process

Must Have :

Good fundamental knowledge involving the entire trade life cycle and inter-departmental intricacies

Sound knowledge of payment messages like MT 202, MT103 and cover payment

Sound knowledge of various swift messages like MT 199, 299, 999,210, 192 and 292

Sound knowledge of various market applications like Omgeo Alert, FX ALL, Misys, key link, GTSS,PB portal & Harmony.

Sound knowledge of various custodian behaviours and payment intricacies.

A strong understanding of the FX products paired with the ability to articulate front to back process flows

Excellent team player with communication and inter-personal skills.

Strong organizational / project management skills; ability to identify and prioritize multiple tasks

Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Good negotiation skills and the ability to manage individual clients' expectations

Openness to System Updates and Change

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation (B.Com. / BBA / BBM / BCA) / Post Graduation (CA / M.Com. / MBA / MCA / PGDM)

2 to 4 years of experience (2 yrs relevant) in FX, Swift messages, settlements and confirmation.

Should have basic knowledge of finance, trade life cycle, investment banking, and derivatives.

High levels of energy enthusiasm, commitment and productivity, Proactive, effective influencer, result-oriented.

Should be good with logical and quantitative abilities to derive information from data.

Time management and ability to resolve issues speedily.

Above average in planning, organizing and time management.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to manage and complete specific tasks with minimal direction

Should be able to act fast and decisively when dealing with critical situations ability to read situations and act in minutes

Willingness to continuously learn, upgrade skills and stay relevant to business demands

Excellent interpersonal skills the ability to network and earn the confidence of diverse Client personnel plus interaction with and management of eClerx India based operations team.
