What you will do
Hereafter are underlined the main activities of the Senior DBA Lead :
Management, administration, support & troubleshooting of business-critical production SQL Server databases and development & and test environment SQL Server databases,
Conduct performance analysis, corrective action, proactive tuning, maintenance, administration & backup & recovery of solutions.
Managing & enhancing Server-Side data integration (ETL) components.
Good understanding and working knowledge of SQL server licensing.
Identify opportunities to decommission legacy SQL servers to reduce the footprint and infrastructure / licensing cost.
Sound knowledge of SQL upgrade especially from very old versions 2000 / 2005 to latest.
Expert in performance tuning.
In depth & strong MS SQL Server 2012 / 2014 / 2016 / 2019 and onwards operational support, troubleshooting, management & administration
Good Experience of performance monitoring, tuning & in capacity planning
Practical experience in managing the internal & external aspects of MS SQL database security
Good understanding of SSIS & SSRS.
Experience in designing / architecting and supporting databases with more than 2-4 TB in size.
Planning and Implementation of Data archiving strategies using OPTIM for the data life cycle management and data retention procedures.
Experience with implementing Database Backup DR strategies.
Experience in Implementing Active / Passive and Active / Active Clustering Set-Up for SQL Server.
Experience in identifying Infrastructure architectural issues and Proposing alternate solutions.
